Loved my stay

Room was spotless, and one of the best appointed rooms we've had in Europe. Lots of room and great in-room amenities. Location is perfect for exploring Girona, with easy access to the old town. No need for a car once you get here. Staff was very friendly, and fluent in English, French, Spanish and Catalan.

The pool was being renovated so the view was of a building site. A maintenance man walked into my room unannounced. My complaint wasn’t taken seriously initially and there was no compensation, other than buffet breakfast.

I researched all the hotels of Girona before my trip and wasn’t sure whether or not to pick Nord 1901 as the reviews were quite mixed, but I’m really pleased I did. The best thing about the hotel is the location, which is ideal for exploring the most interesting and beautiful parts of the city. The hotel is just round the corner from the bridge to the old town, next to a lovely square and a bustling shopping street. Yet it was still very quiet at night. The room was huge, almost to the point of feeling a bit bare! The bed was comfortable and I slept deeply on both nights of my stay. Shower pressure was spot on. Staff were helpful and polite. Overall, the hotel is a little old fashioned in style but at this price point, for the size of the room and the hotel location, it’s a really good deal.

Skön säng uppgradering. Frukosten sämre, ingen kvalité och youghurt i stora skålar. Bröd och pålägg sämre kvalité. Inga grönsaker. Frukten såg gammal ut. Kaffemaskin svag. Tog för en kopp kaffe 4 espressos och lite mjölk ändå svag. Överlag en fint och mysigt hotel när till allt. Trevlig personal och hjälpsam frukostvärdinna när Elen gick när jag försökte rosta bröd.
