Inexpensive and value for money hotel

Great location if you’re looking to go to the castle. Room was clean and had everything we needed. Breakfast was excellent and worth the extra charge. The noise from the streets was extremely loud until about 2 in the morning but all and all a good place to stay for a quick stop over.

Too bad there weren’t any A/C in the heat wave. The smaller fan they provades didn’t do that much.

It is an old-fashioned type hotel with a bit of a bed-and-breakfast flare, which I particularly enjoyed.

No air conditioning. Staff loaned us a fan; that was helpful. Nice breakfast bar for a fee. Close to chateau, Forts, shopping.

Clean room, quiet, great service. The gentlemsn at the reception was so helpful. Breakfast was good. No assigned parking at the hotel. Since it is downtown, you have to use paying parking spots, sometimes hard to find and only 2 hours at a time, so have to continue paying the machine. Close to streets full of stores and restaurants.

La posizione è comoda, l'albergo è pulito, non nuovissimo ma soddisfacente. Le stanze sono un po' piccoline, il bagno proprio di fianco al letto non è piacevolissimo, ma per il resto tutto bene.

Close to great food and bars. Close to Caen castle. Good place and amazung city.

The lobby and stairwells need refurbishing. The room was nice. I was there the end of March and they did not carry wine at the bar FYI

Staff was very helpful and courteous.

Very helpful staff. Close to everything and especially restaurants like Monsieur Louis on Pl. Saint-Sauveur. Only small complaint would be how tight the bathroom was. A tall person would have trouble sitting on the toilet in the room I had on the 4th floor. But nice view from the balcony.

Overall property needs some TLC (paint, hallways, no wifi, bathroom amenities)

The hotel was very clean and comfortable. Easily walkable to train station, restaurants, interesting areas of Caen. We stayed there to visit Juno beach on the Normandy coast. The only reason I gave 4 out of 5 stars was the lady behind the front desk barely glanced up at us when we came and went, couldn’t be less interested in us. When we checked out early, she couldn’t store our luggage because she was full, so we had to drag our bags around for 4 hours waiting for the train. It was very disappointing.
