Nice village hotel and our check in and room were good on the face of it. Other than the guy who checked us in, staff was generally rude. We had booked for breakfast at 08:00 on the first morning, and having travelled the previous day from Asia ended up waking earlier and found ourselves waiting in the breakfast room around 7:10, hoping to be able to request breakfast at 7:30 when it opened. We were greeted by a man in a hurry, brusquely telling us over his shoulder whilst rushing around doing his business that we were way too early for breakfast and we should come back at 7:30. I replied that we didn’t want breakfast there and then-just a conversation whereupon he stopped and listened. Just rude. Later that day we stopped for a pre-dinner drink in the bar, sat down and ordered and then found that the table was sticky with unwashed spillage from beer glasses the previous night. So we moved. Having done so, we got a pile of “attitude” from the short haired blonde lady managing the bar. Sadly the second table was also filthy, so we had to ask her to clean it. We (2) were sitting at a table to seat four. She came along with a wet towel and cleaned (badly) half of it, leaving the remainder sticky and disgusting. Attitude again. Superior entitled and not caring at all about her clients. Finally room service was awful. Pulled the bed straight, no towel change, didn’t wash the teacups properly. This hotel needs to get its act together to stay in business.

There were strong dog smells in the reception area, and the rooms often picked up cooking smells from the kitchen. The mattresses in the bedrooms were also too soft and should be replaced with firmer, more comfortable ones. Overall, the stay was fine for the price point, but anything over £70 per night would not represent good value for money.

Room was up several flights of stairs. Really friendly young man carried my heavy suitcase, couldn't have been more helpful. Room and ensuite had skylights, views over rooftops. Very comfortable bed, pretty room, bit of noise from coutyard below but just in the afternoon. Didn't book breakfast, expensive at £22. Problem was the bath/shower. Trickle of water from the bath taps, gave up trying to run a bath. Shower was equally useless, stopped part way through then restarted after a minute or so. I know its an old building and that must make maintenance difficult but reliable working plumbing is a requirement.

All the staff were very friendly and helpful especially Julia and Stuart. The room was lovely, light and comfortable.

What a lovely hotel! The staff couldn’t do enough for us, and nothing was ever too much trouble. The food was delicious, the room was spotless, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. The photos of the hotel really need updating because they do not do it justice at all — it’s far lovelier in person. I’m super picky when it comes to hotels, but I would definitely recommend staying here. When I received my booking confirmation, the photo of the standard room made me question my choice, but I was pleasantly surprised when we arrived. The hotel exceeded all expectations.

We had a lovely 2 night stay. Room was ok, would go for a larger room, if we stay again. Staff in the bar & resteraunt were excellent, nothing was too much trouble & the food excellent at both breakfast & dinner.

For the price we paid our stay exceeded expectations on every level. Room had everything we needed, comfy bed, friendly staff. The Sunday roast in the restaurant downstairs we excellent. Would stay again.

Pros - good location, comfortable beds. Cons - smelly corridors, paper thin walls.

Very happy with the hotel. Staff very friendly, we didn't have dinner, but breakfast was very good. Right in the town with shops etc all around.

Enjoyed our stay at The Ormond Hotel Tetbury, the staff were amazing they did everything to make our stay as pleasant as possible even helped carry luggage to room, served a really good breakfast with a good choice. We would stay here again if visiting the area in the future.

We loved the accommodations every thing was spot on perfect other than the public parking lot several blocks away.

Really friendly staff, a great room which was tidy and comfortable

Nice hotel, staff were friendly but seemed overworked and not very well organised. Our evening meal was lovely but cold, and the breakfast menu is very limited not a lot of choice for £22

This was third time we have stayed here and all good.

We stayed for one night and plan to stay again in the future. We received a friendly welcome. The breakfast was wholesome and delicious.

Great place to stay food was great. It could get a little bit noisy if people were drinking in the courtyard but that’s to be expected and it didn’t go on after closing. Only downside for us is there is no on site parking.
