My bathroom had not been properly clean when I checked in. Dirty shower, poop on the back of the toilet, dried coffee in the sink. My room did have a fan but others in my party did not so the rooms were warm with no A/C. The hotel does not have enough fans to accommodate all rooms so if there is someone elderly in your party and no fans, I’m not sure what you’re supposed to do. The main areas were nice and clean and air conditioned. The wedding hides there was arranged beautifully.

Title: Poor stay despite a good breakfast Unfortunately, my overall experience was poor. The breakfast was good, but I hardly slept because there was very loud pipework or machinery noise during the early hours, followed by repeated thudding, walking and what sounded like running from the room above for several hours. There was also a visibly filthy pillowcase left on the dressing table. I showed it to the duty manager when she came to restore the power after an electrical problem, but she did not remove it and I felt that my concern was dismissed. I reported the continuing noise to the manager in the morning, but no meaningful solution was offered. The room should have been properly checked before arrival, and I expected the staff to take my concerns more seriously. Although the breakfast was enjoyable, the lack of sleep, cleanliness issue and poor response from staff spoiled the stay.

attended a wedding here so decided to stay over,the hotel room was lovely and clean,bed was very uncomfortable,shower was great.the breakfast was great with excellent selection of food. The only fault we had was that the bedroom window wouldn’t close,which didn’t seem a problem when we returned back to our room later in the night,but from 5am all we could hear noise of the traffic,so had about 4hours sleep all night,so if you are booking i recommend asking for a room not facing the road

Lovely hotel, great food in the restaurant though there could have been more staff at breakfast and someone to keep an eye on topping up the food .

Didn't have enough towels, neither enough bed linen to use the bed settee

Service was poor with lack of interaction and courteous help..Room was poor with NO air conditioning and NO curtains to block out sunlight…room smelled and was very warm

Breakfast could have been continental and much better. Standard, tradinional English breakfast dont match up with the Quality of the Hotel.

Lovely hotel clean rooms. However the price of the beer was extortionate £8 a pint and £11 glass of prosecco day light robbery

Our bathroom showed evidence of water damage, sink plug came off. We had a poorly equipped tea & Coffee refills for the room. The room was around 28 deg C when we arrived, although the windows were slightly open, the sun was directly on our room which made the room stay extremely warm. Shutting the curtains before we arrived would have helped enormously. Breakfast was okay but had to ask for butter as there was none available at breakfast, setting on the toaster burnt my toast. Coffee was cold when served and I disliked 'being ordered' where to sit in a fairly empty room at breakfast because the table we had chosen was set for three and not two!

Had a great stay staff and service very good

Over all very good would go again only saying is could do with a few more staff on when busy with weddings

Food was good quality, bed was comfy. Hotel was under staffed, drinks are expensive and parts of the hotel are tired.

We really loved the hotel. However, our sleep was disturbed because of the heavy traffic. If I had known I would have requested a room at the back. The hotel was not full so I cannot understand why they did not put us at the back of the hotel. It was our anniversary so my wife's lack of sleep was not good. The breakfast was excellent. We hope to come back to see one of your tribute acts and stay. I will request a room at the back of the hotel!! Staff were excellent!! No tea or coffee in the room which is unusual for British hotels. Parking great!!

Nice and cozy enough for a wedding. Beautiful wedding location and reception area. The bar staff were very good. The room was too hot but had a fan which helped. The old wing of the hotel is really small and dated. Choose the new wing if possible. I wanted to book a day room on the day of the wedding and was informed that they only had full day availability. In the old wing. Expedia had the room rate at 119USD but front desk staff said if I booked it online I would have to pay an additional early check in fee of 50 GBP! Eventually I had to pay 169 GBP to secure the room that was much needed. Not good customer experience at all from this. I felt ripped off.

Great facilities.

This new hotel is popular for weddings. So be prepared for parties and (very) young children. I do not consider it a hotel for older people- there was no anti slip mat for the bath - I asked reception and was told we dont have any...(and apart from the accessible room) it appears that all bathrooms are shower over bath, no walk in showers, and there was no grab rail. Cleanliness was barely adequate. My room had bits on the floor and in the bathroom and there was spilled bits of food on the seating and floor in the dining room. Despite its new age there is no aircon and the fan is noisy. On the plus side, it is easy to find, plenty of parking and the staff are very helpful. Staff are young and I suspect management is not much better. My room was very hot, the bar and dining areas were actually cold and the 'perfume' in the air in the large reception area was quite overpowering. Sadly, not a hotel I would easily recommend but that is just my opinion. Read carefully and make sure it suits you before booking.

I had a lovely stay at Wildes inn mainly because the staff were so welcoming, friendly and helpful. The restaurant food was great in the evening. Sadly there were a few other issues that affected the stay. The toilet broke and was not fixable over the weekend. The bathroom was not as clean as it could have been. The breakfast buffet was sparce by 9.30am and not restocked despite asking.
