Overall, it was fabulous during our stay, however, we had left something in the hotel accidentally, we were not able to grab it back even though we went back on the same date we checked out. They said that they didn’t find it in the housekeeping room and the room had the other guests. They said they couldn’t contact the housekeeper. They promised to inform us whether or not they found it the next day. Unfortunately, no one contacted us and even if we emailed them, no one replied. :(

Avoid! Club Quarters Hotel Covent Garden / Holborn. We had no advance notice there would be disruptive work on the hotel and found the lobby was half closed for various work in rooms and the floors. I asked if the drilling or hammering would stop on Saturday and Sunday. We were assured by the man on the front desk that was the case. But the noise started at from 8:30am on Saturday. The walls are paper thin, anyway, and you can hear your neighbour quite easily. in fact, the room was just weird. An ugly chunk of a table was right in the middle of the room. The bathroom ventilator was broken. One bedside light was not working. Parts of the shower dropped off while in use. The only plus is its location. June 2026

The property was perfect. Location was perfect too, right in the centre of the town. The rooms where large and there was a fridge in the room. Lovely bathroom. Couldn't fault anything within the hotel. There was only one problem and that was with the parking, there is a car park at the hotel but it was 40 pounds for our 1 night stay which I thought was expensive. I have a disabled badge so it would of been so handy to of used the car park, but instead I had to find a car park as few minutes walk away. I think 20 pounds would be an acceptable parking charge but 40 is just too steep a price to pay.

Breakfast buffet was not worth the price. Slow to refill.

**Disappointing stay – standards fall well short of expectations** While the concierge was helpful and an early check-in was appreciated, almost every other aspect of our stay left us frustrated. The room itself felt tired and neglected — loose floor tiles, scale-encrusted shower tiles, and generally dated amenities gave the impression that maintenance has not been a priority for some time. The sofa bed was extraordinarily uncomfortable, seemingly missing springs, and its presence in the room eliminated any circulation space around the main bed. To add to the frustration, the toilet blocked during our stay. Housekeeping was only carried out after 5pm, and during servicing, rubbish was left strewn along the hallways for extended periods — creating a deeply unpleasant impression that lingered well beyond the inconvenience itself. Small touches compounded the disappointment: just two coffee pods allocated per day on an ageing Nespresso machine, body wash and hand soap that appeared to have been watered down, and a hand dryer in the women's restaurant restroom that was out of order throughout our entire visit. The restaurant coffee, dispensed from a machine, was poor — particularly hard to justify at the prices charged, where one might reasonably expect a proper espresso setup and a trained barista. Reception staff were not very helpful. There are significant improvements needed before this property can accurately claim to offer a comfortable experience. We are disappointed.

Standard room was absolutely fine in size as was the bathroom for our needs which was only for 1 night. Aircon available at no extra cost. Perfect location virtually opposite Windsor Castle. Parking within easy walking distance. Pay in advance for breakfast, it's much more if you book whilst there. Waited for the kitchen to catch up with key breakfast items however it was 30+ degrees outside so I'm guessing it wasn't much better in the kitchen! Service, both at breakfast and reception was impeccable, nothing was too much trouble. I would stay again.

This McDonald Hotel needs a definite updating. Much of it is outdated and tired looking. The staff and service were excellent and you can’t beat the location. The breakfast buffet was good, but could benefit by rotating items and providing more fresh fruit such as berries. The restaurant is only rated average for dinner with a very traditional and boring menu. The rear exit stair/lift is convenient for getting to Windsor Central train station and it surrounding restaurants and shops, but had an odd odor. An investment in a full renovation would go a long ways.

It has underground parking at £40 per night. The room was a small double compared to our previous stay. Staff are helpful.

Service was not great, especially at check in, and there was dirt and small bugs in the bathtub when we arrived.

Our room was a good size having upgraded to deluxe but cleaning did not happen as a matter of course.The service in Caleys restaurant was poor and the food was unimaginative. Breakfast buffet was cleared very promptly with the coffee machine being turned off first ,just before 10am so we were unable to finish our breakfast with a hot drink. A wonderful location but better ,more welcoming service would have improved our stay no end. The hotel seemed understaffed.

The hotel is conveniently located directly across the street from Windsor Castle. Beds were comfy and AC worked well. They did have our room ready early, which was a huge bonus. It is quite dark inside, including the common hallways as well as the rooms themselves. Large and tall bathtub makes it kind of difficult to get into the shower.

Lovely boutique hotel across the street from Windsor Castle. Breakfast was simple. For 2 of us each day they laid out 1 bath towel. We found a second one in the closet each day. Seemed a bit strange.

This is such a beautiful ,clean easy accessible for many bars and shops . The staff are sooo lovely breakfast was great a lot to offer , cannot thought this hotel and its location 100%. Recommend for couples and families
