Excellent location, 4 min walk to train station and there is nearby shops, market, and supermarket. Breakfast is also delicious, while can only take one portion but still is good. They also keep luggage before or after check in for free. However, rooms sometimes is noisy (including the fridge), and the reception did not address the issue despite mentioning to them. Room is relatively clean. Also there is technically no views from windows. Hence, somehow is good if the price is good; but not expecting 4 star, as it is more of 3 star level.

Not only interior but also furnitures are quite old. I'd booked the standard room with housekeeping but at 3rd day, the housekeeper didn't clean our 2 rooms (we pushed cleaning button, did they clear and forget to clean?). Staff said they didn't expect too but nothing changed. That 's unacceptable. I paid the extra cost for housekeeping for what?

Dekat banget ke central stasiun, kamar mandinya luas. Staff-nya ramah-ramah, ada strikaan, hair dryer. Pokoknya ok. Dekat ke China town.

Our request was to have 2 rooms adjoining each other or next to each other. This request was meet by the staff at Great Southern Hotel. Very happy dealing with staff over the phone and in person. Made our visit to Sydney so much more pleasant:).

Hotel was central to everything. Reception staff were awesome. Water tasted quite awful, even with a tea. Could hear people in next room talking and watching TV. Didn't need to turn ours on.

The staff are always friendly and efficient and it 's great being able to walk to Central station to catch country trains.

Clean, quiet, very convenient to Central Railway. Good restaurant, close to China Town for good Asian food.

The room was spotless and staff very helpful a very casual relaxed atmosphere the breakfast buffet is well priced and managed location is perfect with trams and central train station straite out side the price is good for what you pay to stay in the heart of Sydney city thankyou for my hassle free stay and the free baggage storage also steve.

Rooms are pretty basic but relatively clean, but the location is unbeatable. A short walk to Chinatown and Darling Harbour. For a short stay, it is okay. Customer service is kind and very helpful too!

Old hotel, but good location, if you bring big bag the car or taxi can stop at the back door, there is a few stair too, beware of that, in front hotel there light rail train, easy to expoler sydney, reception helpful and friendly.

Great staff, good location near china town.

Basically my stay was okay, but unfortunately the Air Con didn't work well. It turned off suddenly in the middle of the night and we needed to use fan instead. Talked to the receptionist like 3 times, they were helpful and very friendly but didn't solve the problem at all and didn't offer us another room also. The location was very good, very close to Sydney's tourism spots.

Tidak ada WiFi, ada satu staffnya bapak-bapak yang tidak ramah dan terkesan sombong, staf yang lainnya cukup ramah, jauh ke pusat perbelanjaan, dekat ke station, dekat ke paddys market, dekat ke China Town.

A great hotel.. perfect location in sydney and room so comfortable too.

How could this hotel be a 4 star? it is super old. I was locked out of my bathroom at 12am and had to call somebody to open it. the receptionist was nice and helpful but the facility needs major renovation and upgrade.
