The room was lovely, comfortable felt welcomed by the staff! Enjoyed a few drinks and we went to the carboot on Saturday so that was handy! Really enjoyed our stay and would 100% stay again and recommend to family and friends thanks so much again

Incredibly easy access from jct 29 on M1, only 50 yards away. Dinner was lovely. Parking very good. Lovely staff, very helpful.

We loved our stay here , stayed just the one night as we were visiting our daughter the next day in Bakewell , just a few things to point out which would not put us off returning, but need to be addressed we feel , the room was very clean , but the dust let it down as it had not been touched , no safety mat in the shower & I slipped and hurt my back as it was very soapy & slippery & the fan in the room was very much appreciated as the weather was so hot , but when my husband moved it , the safety guard came off the front & almost too his fingers off as the fan was on , the safety screw was missing. The staff were excellent and very helpful & informative when I asked for directions into Chesterfield. As I said earlier we would definitely return here but for constructive criticism these 3 things need addressing.

The hotel was lovely all round from the staff, the food and the marquee. The breakfast and buffet food were really nice. We were given a room next to the marquee which was a great location for us as we attending the wedding reception. The room was lovely and even had a fenced private patio’s area accessed directly from the roof through French doors which was an unexpected surprise. The grounds are also lovely. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would choose this hotel if visiting the area again.

We had a very warm welcome when we arrived at the hotel by the receptionist. Before hand we had received an email to explain that there might be some noise until midnight due to a function happening in the hotel. I have never had this sort of I formation before from any other hotel. The noise was minimal as well. The bed was huge and comfortable. My only complaints was that to enter the shower the sliding door does not open very far so I would say that anyone of a large frame would struggle to get in and out of it. The road leading to the car park is also quite broken up. We had a good stay and would look at booking again in the future if we go up again.

Sadly, we stayed on the wrong day. We arrived after a six hour drive to find out there was an eighties night on in the marquee about 20 steps from our room. It went on until after midnight. The music I could have coped with but the Dj and accompanying karaoke sounded like they were in our room, completely unnecessarily. Then the guests were in and out of the front entrance door next to our room until 4am. Not exactly the restful night I hoped for especially for our six hour drive the following day. We ate in the restaurant which was good and the receptionist was friendly and helpful. I would possibly stay again before checking there was no function on as the room represented good value for money.

Rooms are good, selection of food 😋. All the staff were very friendly and wood go out of their way to help you. Will definitely be staying there again.

We were enroute to Yorkshire from Somerset with a planned trip to Hardwick Hall necessitating an overnight stop. This hotel close to junction 29 of the M1 was ideal for our needs. The staff were all charming and very helpful and the food was excellent. We did have a minor problem with our room but without asking we were immediately upgraded to a superior room. We would recommend this hotel to all travellers.
