Despite being very close to the M4, the room we stayed in was quiet, comfortable and clean. Well maintained public rooms as well. All the staff from check in, bar staff, waiting staff and the maids were very pleasant, helpful and considerate. Nothing was too much trouble. Good value for money & as much breakfast as you need. Thank you.

Really good stay and credit as I arrived at midnight to check in. Room clean and tidy and everything you need for a stay. Didn’t have time for breakfast in the morning as checked out at 6am. Comfy bed - good sleep and will be back again now I know how good it was and how close to junction for travel.

Really liked this hotel - aircon was working well, room was pretty big and very comfortable. Staff were great. Was a bargain and will definately return

Hotel room very clean, staff were excellent, we did not use the canteen or bar, overall very good

The staff were excellent and the amenities and room were superb but the weather was very warm and the air conditioning as advertised was non existent and led to an uncomfortable nights sleep. The staff did place fans in the room to try to ease the issue but the temperature in the room was 25.5*C.

Beer made my party ill - need pipe.cleaing. No atmosphere. Breakfast very poor. Uneditable bacon. Bed squeaky. Building site next door.

The hotel is clean, smart. It's fine but a main reason I chose it was for the air conditioned rooms. However the AC was noisy and didn't work well. The room's TV was small and Standard Definition. The on site restaurant was unexpectedly shut during my second night. Decent coffee machine at breakfast albeit slow. Decent gym but again poor AC.

Rooms are very nice clean and modern (could do with a bigger tv) bed very comfy and breakfast good. Will stay again

Great place, convenient with friendly staff

Stated for one night after Chepstow races with my two children. The room was spotless, good tea/coffee making facilities, air con and lovely beds and bedding. The electricity cut out in the room around 9.00pm and the staff couldn’t have been more helpful. They tried to fix the fault, but ended up giving us another room when it couldn’t be resolved. They also gave us drinks and snacks while we waited and were very apologetic. Breakfast was served until 10.30am but we didn’t get down there until 10.10am so understandably things had run out. Would have been great for more veggie options on the hot buffet, but the staff were again friendly and we would definitely stay again.

We needed 2 last-minute rooms and we hit the jackpot here! Super clean, well maintained, free parking, and best of all during this heatwave, wonderful air conditioning! Close to Tintern Abbey (25 minutes) and Cardiff (35 mins). Only thing lacking are washcloths (or "flannels" as they are referred to in the UK), but most hotels don't stock them we are finding. Highly recommend staying here over Cardiff.

Shame the restaurant was closed but the pizza filled a hole. Room excellent, staff welcoming and polite and a well stocked bar.
