Plenty of parking, food is fantastic and the staff are very helpfull making a very pleasant stay

Stayed several times best hotel in Kendal rooms spotless staff polite/ helpful and breakfast very tasty just slightly disappointed they are refurbing their pool area at present but won't hesitate to return.

The room was clean and tidy, the water was a little too hot in the sink on the first night but seemed to be cooler the next night. The food was a standout for us and all of the staff were lovely. We look forward to visiting again when all of the renovations have been completed

EV chargers not working, room door would not dead lock, walls thin so could hear the adjacent room. However, bed comfy, shower good and staff attentive.

The hotel was amazing and the courtesy of the staff was amazing.

Tried contact with the hotel well over 24 hours in advance with a small request, no response through hotels.com system. Checked in at 6:30, were told we had until 7 for dinner due to a party, would have liked to know through early contact. Room paint peel off walls but clean.

The room was no better than a Premier Inn. The amenities were shut for refurbishment. The corridors and stairways were dirty from the building works. The doors banged and the floors are creaky. Glad the hotel was nearly empty as hate to think of the noise created by a lot of guests

The room was cold because the radiator wasn't working. The staff tried to fix it but eventually had to get a plumber. I didn't feel the staff were very apologetic and although we had originally intended to have dinner at the hotel we left them in the room and went to another restaurant do

Room was clean but bed really hard. So bad I didn’t sleep all night. I’d suggest softer mattresses or a deep mattress topper. Biscuits in my room were crushed to crumbs too. Staff were faultless and food exceptional however the noise from their current building works was unacceptable. I was woken at 8am to a crane outside my window, workmen stomping around outside my room and unfinished decor and a lift stiff covered in plastic wrapping. I’d suggest not accepting guests until you have completed your works.

Stonecross is a lovely old manor house that has been well restored. Quite often these old buildings fall into disrepair because of cost, but my wife and I felt it was really well presented. Stonecross is located close to the M6 but a short drive from The Yorkshire Dales or Lakes. The lobby is spacious and classy feeling with the tickle of piano music in the background. There is parking for around 10 cars with EV charging for three or four. The charging is provided externally by enozzle. 32 rooms are available but the place was quiet. The standard room was bright clean and comfortable with bath and shower. The food is excellent. There is a small but well designed menu for evening meal and drinks are not overpriced. Two alcoholic drinks cost is £12. We had a lovely stay for our anniversary and i would strongly recommend.
