Très bon accueil de l' hôtelier très à l' écoute. Hôtel très calme et bien entretenu. Le petit déjeuner est délicieux et très varié avec des préparations maison.

Really nice family-run hotel, situated in a quiet side street near the main area of Cherbourg for shops, bars and restaurants, and about 30 minutes' walk from the ferry terminal. Quiet, clean and comfortable, with a delicious buffet breakfast comprising many home-made treats. A comfortable bed combined with the quiet environment and blackout curtains to ensure a good night's sleep. The bathroom was spacious, clean and well-equipped, adding to the impression of a thoughtfully furnished and decorated room. Many of the staff you will encounter are members of the extended family who run the hotel, and you will find them to be friendly and attentive but discreet. They were also happy to converse with me in French which was good practice for me! I actually liked everything about it and I think you probably will too...

Accueil simple et urbain. Organisation accueillante et pratique. Petit-déjeuner proche de l’exceptionnel ! (Seule critique, pour en faire une : la salle à manger mériterait un arrangement plus esthétique et chaleureux… mais avec un tel buffet maison, on risquerait d’y rester la journée !)

Hôtel agréable, Chambres cosys mais très mauvaise expérience tout de même une fois arrivée dans la chambre… (arrivée tardive) Que dire du ménage ?? la salle de bains, avec de longs cheveux dans la douche ainsi que sur les murs qui on du être frotté avec une serviette sale .. sans vous parler des poils !!! (Voir photo) Dans la chambre, La poussière et encore des cheveux jusqu’à la lampe de bureau (voir photo) Bref, au prix de la chambre, c’est triste… Une très mauvaise expérience J’y venais de temps en temps. Dommage 😅

Séjour très désagréable à l'hôtel Moderna. Pas de parking et chambre au troisième. Personne pour vous aider à porter les bagages (j'avais trois bagages dont une valise la personne de l'accueil m'a regardé monté sans aucune remarque). Salle de bain très vieillote, lunette des WC à moitié défaire...

Cheap hotel for an overnight stay. Needs a bit of modernisation ironically given the name! Lots of mould in the bathroom. Wouldn't want to stay again.

Pas d’incident majeur, mais globalement en dessous des standards de l’hôtellerie pour un 3*, autant pour l’aménagement du lieu que le service du personnel. Peu fidèle à la description : un accès aux chambres extérieur façon motel américain où les fenêtres donnent sur une coursive. Propreté impeccable, à part un cendrier avec un mégo sous ma fenêtre.

Lovely overnight stay. Small room and en-suite but fine for one night. Good buffet breakfast had everything we needed. Good location for bars, shops and restaurants but not noisy. We didn’t have a car, but the public car park was 5 minutes away. We will stay there again.

The room was very small but clean. The surrounding area was undergoing major upgrade to the walkways etc.

Hotel advertises free parking But when you get there you discover its a car park that is down the road and around a corner, that is only free after a certain time and if you get there after this time, you have very little hope if finding any parking.

Très bien dans l’ensemble, dommage que Cherbourg soit un chantier à ciel ouvert en ce moment.

The room had been renovated beautifully. Fully rewired with usb charging points and a plethora of lighting options. The bed was very comfortable with a bolster, two pillows and a decorative cushion per person, the most pillows we've ever encountered in France! Despite Cherbourg undergoing significant utility and road revamping, it made little impact in the hotel. Free parking was easily available within a few minutes walk 😀
