Room was immaculate and the staff were very friendly and welcoming throughout our stay.
Unfortunately, we felt the quality of the food didn’t reflect the price. We paid around £100 for an evening meal which included two mains, a shared Camembert to start, and two drinks, but we didn’t feel the quality of the food justified the price tag. The meal itself was quite bland and lacked imagination. The sauce with the main was overly salty, and the bread was extremely dry, as though it had been left under a hot lamp for some time before being served.
Breakfast was also disappointing. We again felt the food may have been cooked some time before serving. The mushrooms were dry and had very little taste, and both the meat and eggs had a slight fishy residue taste.
Next time we would probably choose to have breakfast elsewhere. It’s a shame, because aside from the food, everything else about our stay was fantastic and the staff were lovely.
