This is an excellent family run bed and breakfast in the centre of Tavistock. The room was spacious and even though the room was facing the road, I could not hear any traffic. The location was excellent and I loved the character of the road and houses. I would visit again.

The room was small but clean, the bathroom was small but clean. Only had continental breakfast, other guests had full English and appeared to be satisfied.

Chris and Sue are amazing hosts. They make sure you are well poked after and will go out of their way to help you. Amazing people.

Chris and Sue were very nice people. The breakfast was great including Sue's marmalade and Chris' homemade pork sausages. Rooms are small but the home has character. Location was convenient for exploring Tiverton.

Stayed for 4 nights in a while, in one of the smaller double rooms (6). Clean & tidy albeit a bit quirky in a building 300 years old or so. Pleasant hosts Chris & Sue plus other staff with good range of breakfast options tried, always well cooked. Only slight blemish was a crack in the on-suite sink & toilet seat sloppy. Other than that all very good, including improved parking to rear in designated area.

The host, Chris, was so kind to pick me up from the bus station when I was unable to get a taxi, especially since it was raining. I had a problem with the TV as well as a leaking shower, but Chris fixed them both. The bed was clean and comfortable, as was the room. Great location, within easy walking distance to the centre of town, even in the rain! Breakfasts were so amazingly good, I tried a different menu each day and was never disappointed. Thanks so much, Chris and Sue, I'll definitely be back!

Breakfast was perfect, homemade sausages and preserves. Room was clean and tidy. Parking was excellent with a small additional cost. Very close to town and supermarket.

Nice guesthouse with very friendly hosts. Breakfast was really nice. Would have been 5 star, but they didn’t answer our phone calls or messages before arrival. Also, room decoration is starting to get a little dated and tired.

Beautiful family run guest house in the heart of the town , I was made to feel so welcome and the breakfast was delicious, comfy bed and tv and nice clean bathroom , will definitely stay again when passing through !

The hosts at the Angel were assiduous in contacting me before I arrived and attended to all my requirements once I found them. I had a very comfortable and convenient overnight stay at short notice and immediately prior to New Year - breaking my long journey from the south east to Penzance. A lovely home cooked breakfast as well.Thankyou

It is always interesting to experience what one receives from something billed at the lower end of the price range. This property was adequate in the sense that it provided a bed, shower and reasonable breakfast. However, it is not a property that one would recommend to anyone, beyond someone purely wishing a place to lay one's head for the night. The overriding adjectives to describe it would be - basic but adequate.

Owner and other staff were very welcoming and informative. Breakfast was lovely and set me up for the day.

Very good hosts. Our room (No. 7) was very small, carpet was dirty with stains, wallpaper peeling off wall, paintwork chipped, etc. All a bit tired.

Ideal for what we needed. Owners friendly and accommodating. Room clean. Close to wetherspoons and a good curry house. Breakfast was very good with plenty of choices
