Brilliant experience for 5th year anniversary trip.

Efficient and pleasant staff

Second time staying here and we will be back! We use it as we have family close by, its a beautiful setting, all amenities are well looked after to a very high standard, staff are superb, very friendly and polite, nothing is too much, rooms are a decent size, very comfortable and beds are great. Only drawback is not being able to get 2 double beds in one room, you can only book a room with 2 singles. Breakfast can be delivered to your room for £5 at a time of your choice, ours didn’t disappoint.

Stayed at The mere for a local wedding and travelled from Essex. Lovely hotel and very friendly staff we only had one problem and that was the air conditioning stopped working during the night and we woke up with banging headaches . My daughter entered the room and said it was like a sauna in our room the very lovely maintenance guy said that the computer was reading 26 when the control panel said 19 . The reception staff were not to sympathetic and said I could have walked to reception in the middle of the night . To be honest we just thought it was a warm night … I did have a headache all day on the day of the wedding so that wasn’t great! But overall great hotel

Great hotel with facilities for all.

The hotel itself would be amazing with a refurbishment in the hotel and its facilities as the decor is tired. But I couldn’t fault the service, staff or food we had all was excellent. A comfortable bed is important and the bedding, pillows and mattress was extremely comfortable. Will definitely be returning.

Lovely hotel, had a very relaxing stay. Almost perfect except for a few small details. Firstly, their pillows are dreadful, far to soft, needed four to get any support. Secondly 'courtyard view' is code for car park. Finally, check-out was slow, but these are purely niggles. The hotel was as close to perfect as any I've stayed in. The bath was fabulous, show powerful, bed large and comfy, room large, very clean and well maintained, decor stylish, location quiet and staff generally great. Would happily recommend. Just be aware, guests in standard rooms do not get spa access included with the room rate.

Perfect mid week stay at the Mere. Really lovely room, very comfy bed, luxury toiletries. Service was excellent at both the reception, the restaurant and bar. Really good breakfast especially for vegetarians. Lovely to get into the Spa to use the pool and jacuzzi. Would defo go again.

Absolutely perfect amazing we loved everything

tre giorni per lavoro. Ho provato molti hotel tra UK,USA,Irlanda, Canada, Germania ecc, e sono sempre molto critico e non dispenso il massimo dei voti, ma per questo hotel devo dire tutto perfetto, magnifico. location stupenda, molto tranquilla, hotel nel centro di un campo da golf. Spa attrezzatissima e ben organizzata pulita e molto ben gestita senza eccessi di persone e soprattutto bambini. Hotel eccezionale, pulito innovativo e anche tradizionale, pavimento riscaldato nei bagni arredo nuovo personale sempre disponibile a trovare soluzioni. ristorante super cool, ti servono con i guanti bianchi... in una parola, il migliore per me.

Great stay

Posto eccezionale, in mezzo al campo da golf silenzioso e di classe e a soli 17 min dall’aeroporto di Manchester. Suggestivo dal sapore antico ma molto moderno all’interno. Bagno con pavimento riscaldato, terrazzino e nespresso in camera. Ma la vera chicca è la piscina con 6 tra sauna, bagno turco, caldarium, sale ecc e una jacuzzi calda molto grande… consiglio vivamente di provare questo hotel se ne avete l’occasione.

Reception and check in was a nightmare - took about twenty minutes and there were only two people in front of me. Room was fantastic, probably the most comfortable room I have ever stayed in. Breakfast is what ruined it for me, nearly all the tables were empty when I arrived for breakfast and I was shown to a corner hidden out of the way where all I could see was a wall. It made me feel as though my appearance wasn’t the look required for the restaurant even though I was smartly dressed; I was actually quite upset.

The Staff couldn't do enough to help us. So professional and so friendly and helpful. They're a credit to the hotel!

Last minute booking for work meeting. A lovely setting close to the M6. Clean, comfortable, fabulous breakfast. Will definitely come again.

Stayed 2 nights at The Mere whilst in Cheshire from the south for my cousins wedding and it was worth every penny. Predominately a golf hotel, the property also has a great atmosphere for non golfers. 4 star accommodation without being pretentious, it offers a relaxed atmosphere, excellent breakfast and dining options, (we used the clubhouse), well appointed, comfortable rooms and an extremely good spa with treatments at an added cost. The staff were very helpful and friendly throughout the hotel. We ate and slept well, all in all a very good stay
