The room itself was clean, though basic (no paper towels or tea towels in the kitchenette). The hallway carpet was not clean and when we mentioned it to the staff, their response was "cleaning staff will get it tomorrow." They didn't get it the next day. The breakfast was listed as "continental"; it was a few different bread slices, 2 kinds of cereal and some yogurts. They seem understaffed.

Very very dirty

The building itself was confusing. The pool was dirty. The room was in disarray. The staff were not bad but they could improve more. Breakfast was so little. You don’t know where the food was. Garbage at the breakfast room was so filthy. Aircon was noisy. It kept going on and off. Overall it was not a good experienced.

This place is a total dump and a rip off. It is dirty both inside and out. Room door had obvious been forced open at some point in time and was very hard to shut and secure. When we showed up there were three police cruisers in the parking lot busting what looked like a prostitution situation. The condition of the motel is very poor with the light outside our room physically falling off. The breakfast was poor with the only options being white bread toast and cereal. Oh, the coffee was crap as well, like they just ran hot water through old coffee grounds. It was flavourless dark water. Save your money and go somewhere else.

Terrible place to stay. We didn’t even feel safe in our room and moved chairs in front of the door which had a busted secure lock and a weirdly loosely boarded up hole in the wall that looked like maybe an old closet possibly a secret passage where people get into your room. Cigarette burn jokes on the bedcovers. Blood on pillow case. Dirty and poorly maintained rooms. Sleepless stay and we couldn’t leave early enough in the morning. Regret not seeing the reviews sooner or never would have booked.

Breakfast was non existent. Hallways were not clean. At least rooms doesnt have bad smell.

Rated 1 star because we tried to contact the property to cancel multiple times and we were unable to get through to anyone. The AI answering system was unhelpful and kept looping.

At arrival clerk was rude and snap at us when ask where to park. The hotel is run down the hall never were clean and garbage every were. When we arrived at our room the sheets were never changed and soiled with someone’s pleasure stains. We contacted front desk they can to change the bedding the sheets she brought were also dirty and had to return for more. The room was ok I fixed the fire alarm as it was falling off the ceiling and was bugging me. The AC was very noisy could not hear TV for noise. We went to breakfast in morning very dirty no one cleaning and bad smell not very many chooses we left and we to McDonald’s as it was disgusting. They need to sent a inspector would not recommend this hotel and will never return also lost trust in book though Expedia and will consider other options in future.

This was not a normal Motel stay. Rooms were absolutely filthy. Shower Curtain had toothpaste all over it. Toilet had feces on sides of toilet. Shower floor was covered in dirty. Table in room was wiped off, and towel was brown after whipping it off. Floors were full of dirty. Upon arrival the Dumpster had so much Garbage around it & on ground blowing around. Entrances to rooms were full of trash. Hallway was musty smelling. Pool was dirty, missing half of the water, and ice cold. The noise was absolutely ridiculous, all night up until 5am there were doors slamming, people talking, running around. Noise complaints tired to be placed, but front desk wasn’t answering at all.

The property was very dirty. We had to ask to borrow the broom because the floor in our room was dirty. There was crumbs from before in the insuite kitchen. The bedding wasn't clean. There were layers of dust all over the room. The common areas were disgusting. The hallways, communal kitchen and stairs. The hallways looked like they hadn't been vacuumed in a year. I didn't feel brave enough to try to swimming pool. The breakfast was just toast, cereal and yogurt. The common eating area had spills and stains everywhere. The door to outside had 100 cigarettes butts on the floor and it would take an employee 5 minutes to clean The desk attendant threatened to charge me for receipt paper. I've slept in hundreds of hotels in Canada and other countries and this is the worst one. Pay a bit more a stay somewhere decent.

Breakfast was ordinary only toast and cereal provided

tub tap was held on with caulking, cracked tiles in the bathroom. The Pool looked a little murky - didn't try it myself.. Room was clean and tidy and shower pressure was the best I've ever had but, the area outside the building was not the best but, I think Moncton would require 2x the police they have to fix that area.. On a good note, they do accommodate families with a big dog :-)

Window on the door is very dirty and window by bed is very dirty both need wash and clean windows.. also tv screen need clean too.. trim on the window is not clean.. other like fridge is clean, mircowave is clean and bathroom is clean too..

Only 2 good things were the parking (in front of my door) and the bed sheets were clean. Property is not well kept including cigarette butts all over the parking lot, grass and flower pots unkept. In the room I had to wear my shoes, there were flies all over the windows, coffee maker broken, walls need a good wash and paint job, furniture was sticky and old.

Rooms were clean , staff friendly , but pool was as cold as the ocean and the continental breaks was toast and juice or coffee ,not very appealing

I’ve stayed at this property before, and I keep coming back because it offers great value for the price. It’s conveniently located on Mountain Road, making it easy to get around. The complimentary breakfast is simple—toast, yogurt, coffee, and juice—but that’s exactly what I expected. If you’re looking for a full hot breakfast, this may not be the place for you, but if you know what you’re booking, there won’t be any surprises. The staff was friendly and accommodating. They gave me a ground-floor room as I had requested, and the room was clean and had the two beds I needed. I stayed for two nights and had a comfortable, hassle-free stay. I have nothing negative to say. This hotel delivers exactly what it promises, and for the price, I think it’s an excellent choice.

PLEASE DON'T STAY HERE!!! THIS PLACE IS BEYOND FILTHY!! Screen door looked like it was kicked in and was broke. Bathroom was disgusting. (I wouldn't wash my dog in that bathtub) Walls had greasy marks on them. My feet were sticking to the floor. Not a great impression for the 3 minutes we stayed in the room. I went and got my deposit back and was told that Expedia would issue a refund. Kind of funny that Expedia can book a room without a problem but can't get ahold of Thriftlodge for a refund. SO DISSAPPOINTED TO SAY THE LEAST!!! ****PLEASE DON'T STAY HERE****
