I could say it's a great stay because they accommodated our request to have it rebooked. We supposed to arrived last feb 10 but my son was sick so we have to cancel our trip but hotel california gave us a consideration and allow us to have it rebooked two weeks after. Their customer service is a thumbs up. They have shuttle service, which is another thumbs up. However, my son was very uncomfortable of the place as well as my husband, saying they didn't get to sleep well on the bed, so we ended up waking up late and missed our breakfast. The water heater is not working properly, I had an issue with TV (no cable so they ended up changing it to big box TV to fix the problem), the wifi was good when we checked in but it didn't work at the night until the day we checked out. Though let me clarify that there is a good wifi connection if I go out of the room to get a proper connection, The pool is still close, that disappoint my son because he loves swimming. And I am not sure if I am right but I think the room that was given to us is the old room, even though I booked for the new room. Anyhow, we didn't encounter any remarkable behaviors towards the staff which is the best part that I always consider when staying at a hotel and to be satisfied with the stay.
