It's the best hotel for me. The owner of the hotel is very nice and enthusiastic. Although they don't speak English very well, they helped us a lot with our heavy luggage. We deeply appreciated about that. If we visit Matera again in the future, we will still choose this hotel. 建議一到廣場噴泉時就先去information拿紙本地圖，對於尋找飯店的位置幫助較大，因為google map在這真的不管用，飯店房間整潔乾淨，從窗戶就能眺望對面的sassi，風景很好~由於我們的行李太重，當地又沒有計程車可以搭，飯店主人很好心地在回程時載我們到停車場牽車(不得已才會接受幫助，說出來是為了替飯店加分，不希望有人利用這份善心，主動要求飯店也給予相同幫助，造成飯店困擾)，他們讓我們非常感動，因為說真的他們並沒有義務那麼做，沒想到Matera風景美，人心更美，將來若有機會再訪馬泰拉，一定會繼續入住Fra i Sassi

It's highly recommended to stay in Matera because the comfortable room/bed/bathroom, and of course the stunning view over Matera not only in the room also from the terrace. Very friendly host and stay in Matera.

The total experience was excellent. We were in Room 12 and the view was worth every penny. The staff were very nice and helpful. The coffee and breakfast in the morning were excellent. You must stay here!

Hotel was great. Amazing views and the staff was excellent. We had a car and they sent lots of communication about how to reserve a spot in a nearby parking garage with a shuttle to the hotel. Lived the cave room and being in the heart of the historic area.

Nice cave hotel. Cool room, very comfortable. 2 outdoor terraces with great Sassi views. Easy access by taxi, not many stairs. Well located for attractions and restaurants. Tasty home made breakfast items.Lovely staff. Enjoyable stay.

Parking is outside the historic area. Great service and breakfast. Very easy to get everywhere from there. The view from the front room was great and huge but a little bit noisy. I would recommend the hotel to friends and family.

Location was amazing with some of the best views of Matera. One can just enjoy from the comfort of the room in the private balcony or with just windows open. While we had to carry the luggage down to the property, proper research would have suggested the public transport that we could have been used to minimize the hassle. Breakfast here was excellent with so many choices, including some fresh food. Their offer to store luggage after checkout is a good option to avail.
