The non-Japanese staff did not turn on the heater nor she did not leave any remote control to us. It was cold by mid night and we did not sleep in comfort. Do not have hot spring spa.

房間太大了

體驗日本最具歷史的高級西洋式酒店，光這點就十分值得，當然服務也令人滿意；房間的家俱都是古董級，令人愛不釋手，還保留舊時的煤油暖氣管（雖然只是裝飾功能），空間也夠寬敞，搭配大片窗戶盡收日光群山美景。飯店位置交通便利，步行到東照宮5分鐘，早上散步無遊客時特別愜意！

打開房間時，覺得設備好陽春，但其實是飯店刻意所為，販賣的正是傳統。

The hotel was build Meiji era so it has a unique character and a charm to it. However, it does not provide a modern convenience. It sets on the top of steep hill so you need to be prepared for some leg work if you don’t have a form of motor transportation.

とても雰囲気の良いホテルで、スタッフの方々も丁寧な接客で、思い出に残りました。朝食のパンがとても美味しかったです。

明治からの時の流れを堪能した素晴らしいホテルでした。館内ツアーは日光金谷ホテルと日光東照宮の繋がりや歴史がよく分かりました。バーもレストランも大変美味しく、とても満足させていただきました。体調を崩した際も大変親身にご対応いただきありがたかったです。かえってご迷惑をおかけ申し訳ございませんでした。

朝食はとても美味しかったです。スタッフも丁寧に接客して頂きましたが、一つだけ気になった点がありました。 ベットメイキングは完璧でしたが

ディナー中のメインが出てくる前に美味しかったパンの追加をお願いし、わかりましたと言われたが、その後もう出せませんの一言もなく、最後まで出てこなかった。

Excellent service and location.

Very limited breakfast selection -

The rooms were very large but needs a refresh with carpets and paint. Location was exceptional- walking to Toshogu shrine and the Shinkyo bridge. Had to walk up and down a huge hill to get to the hotel but the views were incredible. A bit far from the station and their shuttle was not reliable enough to count on to get to the station on an early timetable. Breakfast was classically served and delicious but the same every morning. There was no onsite onsen which would have been perfect given it is a historic hotel.

朝食は、良かった。 コーヒー、紅茶は、もう少しまめに巡回した方が良い。 バーには、行くチャンスがなかったが、外から見た感じでは、クラシックで、素敵。

朝食、お部屋、とても素晴らしかった。 クラッシックな建物を楽しむなら古さも味があっていいですね。

Great location. Property could use a refresh and better amenities - gym, buffet breakfast or more a la carte options (too limited as a vegetarian).

建物、バスルーム等施設は歴史を感じさせるが、掃除が行き届いて清潔に保たれて、古き伝統を大切にされている事が随所に実感でき素敵なホテルです。
