We stopped in Geilo because of the way back to Oslo from Bergen. We knew nothing before arrival but we finally knew that it’s the great place for skiing. After our arrival, we checked in at 7 or 8 pm but the staff still told us the necessary information. The room is spacious but the interior of the ground and underground are in progress of renovation. It will be better after it. The breakfast was good with sufficient choices. We just explored Geilo after it by the recommendation from the passionate staffs who also lent us the equipments. After the outdoor enjoyment, we had a coffee before our departure. Overall, we must stay with them if we go to Geilo again.

Dårlig start da det viste seg at man må betale 170 pr døgn for parkering utenfor hotellet, det var vi ikke klar over. Merkelig at hotellet har EasyPark overalt på sin eiendom. Så ble alt bedre, fikk et flott rom med utsikt over hele dalen. Fint oppusset både rom og bad, og ikke minst to skikkelig gode stoler til å sitte i om kvelden. God frokost. Oppholdet var verdt pengene, så vi bor der gjerne igjen.

The room didn’t lock properly and they send a waiter to fix a door which was a joke and the guy tried to blame the weather and movement in timber for the door not latching. Had to negotiate compensation as they said sorry can’t help we are fully booked. Charged 150 NOK for a baby cot which was a rip off and on top no lifts and we had to carry bags up 3 levels. They expect hotel guess to pay 170 NOK per day to park on street. Deceitful as non of that is mentioned in the description. Wouldn’t recommend. Stay away.

We only stayed one night as we were passing through, but it was a cozy room, comfortable beds, and the breakfast was great. It was off-season, so parking was no problem, but I could see it getting complicated at other times.

Vi var kun på gjennomkjøring og skulle ha en plass og sove. Hotellet var helt ok. De ansatte var hyggelige og hjelpsomme. Men tror ikke vi møtte noen norske ansatte, så for de som ikke kan engelsk kan det bli noe utfordrende og få hjelp.

Hyggelige ansatte,rent,stille,meget bra frokost. Helt topp. Kommer gjerne tilbake.

Hotellet er helt greit for en natt på vei østover, men ikke mer enn det. Pluss for stikkontakt ved nattbordet. Synes det er dårlig service at man må betale dyrt for parkering utenfor.

We stopped in Geilo for 1 night on our way to Flåm during our wedding anniversary trip. We appreciated that the hotel staff gave us a complimentary upgrade to a suite. The room was clean and the bed was comfy. We loved how the hotel had a complimentary sauna to use - no one else was using it while we were there so it was very relaxing! Super clean as well. We had to leave early the next morning before the hotel breakfast even started, so we asked if we could get breakfast to go from their restaurant. The staff were happy to help us with that and our breakfast was ready at the front desk when we checked out. We ate our dinner at the hotel restaurant, which was good. We both got moose burgers and shared a local cheese plate. The resto is worth checking out. Thanks for a great stay!

Solides Hotel zu einem fairen Preis. Zimmer und Bad sauber und angenehm groß. Frühstück ok aber nichts besonderes. Was meiner Meinung nach eine Frechheit ist das neuerdings 15€/Nach fürs Parken genommen werden. In der Ski-Saison vielleicht noch ok um fremdparker abzuschrecken, aber in der neben Saison?

Var avhengig av gode parkeringsfasisiliteter da vi kjører bil med bilhenger, blir da borti 14 meter og det gikk utmerket hos Geilo Hotell
