The lady at the lobby that checked us in was very nice, and the hotel would be perfect if the bathroom was just a bit better.

Staff was welcoming and polite. Loved the location! So close to everything! The only issue we had was a smell that was coming from the kitchenette sink drain. But the ataff helped with that and everything was perfect. Will definitely be booking again.

Staff was excellent and allowed me to check in several hours early since my room was not rented the night before. Steps to the beach and safe, couldn’t ask for more at this price. A+++

Location was good and convenient. Staff were very nice and helpful. Rooms were very poorly maintained with vinyl deteriorating floors, furniture falling apart, a real dump of a room. Paint peeling, missing lights, etc.

I have stayed here many times over the years and this is the first time that I was disappointed. 1. 5 people so got the suite... The pull out couch was a broken futon couch 2. Shower knobs broken and couldn't get the water temperature below scalding 3. Staff response "will waive parking charge" 4. Only one roll of toilet paper for 3 days, bought my own, staff never answers 5. As it is pretty friendly the back patio has an open area the length of the hotel for dogs to go on... People never picked up their poop 6. House keeping said the large bottle marked lotion was actually conditioner... Yet it was actually lotion For $300+ a night I could have stayed at a motel six. Save your money and go to an inn

Walkable to the beach. Was great to see the dogs play in grass out front. Beautiful ocean and bay views from our spacious balcony. Excellent view for sunsets. Not a lot of places to dining or drinks within walking distance. Little $$$ but short term worth it.

Das Hotel ist Hundefreundlich. Die Zimmer im Erdgeschoss sind dafür ausgelegt. In der ersten Etage gibt es nur Zimmer für Gäste ohne Hunde. Allerdings markieren Hunde, dadurch riecht es in der Anlage ziemlich streng. Die Zimmer sind schnucklig, gehören jedoch teilweise saniert.

What a great little find in Ocean Beach! Steps away from the beach, at an amazing price! Our room had a great view of the beach, the bed was comfy and the shower was out of this world!! Benedict’s right outside our door with great food was a bonus. Will definitely be back!

We like staying at Ocean Villa Inn when we travel to San Diego with our dogs. This is their favorite dog beach in California. Being within walking distance to the beach makes everything so convenient. You can simply walk to the beach. Stop by the onsite wash tubs and rinse off all the salt water and sand off yourself and dogs before returning to your room. The dog rooms are first floor patio rooms with a dog run right out your sliding glass door for easy night time potty calls. Although this isn’t lavish accommodations. It has everything you need. Sometimes it all about location, location!! Clean as can be for tiled dog rooms on the beach. The owners and staff are the best. Ice machine, swimming pool, laundry facilities. Nice grass area also between the Inn and the beach. Walking distance to restaurants and stores. Breakfast trailer makes coffee and good breakfast meals right onsite.

It is an older building, but the location is great! The room was very spacious. The balcony was perfect for drying bathing suits and for family members to hang out on before everyone else wakes up or after others go to bed. It was helpful to have the sink separate from the toilet.

The property was rundown. The linoleum flooring was peeling off throughout the room. The front door was loose and the privacy/security locks were more for appearance. There was a homeless encampment outside the property fence line that was less than 20 feet from my balcony. I do not recommend.

Pros , walking distance to the beach, gorgeous ocean view Cons, this is a Motel that looks like it hasn't been updated in over 30 years, not only did we over pay for a dump we had to pay additional for parking I was afraid to sleep or shower here it looks like one of those motels you rent by the hour Decorated with furniture from 2nd hand store We had people using the bathroom right behind the room Stay in your car before going here

Shower drain issue clogged, ac vents dirty and noisy, mold around the fridge

Great stay. Adjacent to dog beach. The breakfast coffee place out of a streamlined trailer is great too

Lighting in room very poor.

I didnt like the homeless outside of the property and shower head was outdated.
