Lake side view is good. Breakfast is at the standard. Away from downtown so better with your own car. Depends if you need more convenience

The hotel—more like a lodge—is located right across from a lovely (and popular) public swimming area on Lake Thun that had a food truck selling snacks and drinks. It is surrounded by dense foliage which was flowering and alive with insects (great sign of environmental health) when I visited in June. It has a number of wonderfully preserved taxidermies that the current owner explained were trophies of the previous owner, a professional hunter. The overall effect is that you are staying in a hunting lodge in a picturesque location. The room was spacious and comfortable with a balcony (connected to adjoining rooms), sitting area, desk, bed, generous closet, and good-sized bathroom. It came with a fan, small TV, and wifi. There was no placard to request housekeeping but we were able to ask for additional room supplies at the front desk. Laundry service exists but the charge is per item, rather than load—more for emergencies, or those who can afford it ᵕ̈ The daily breakfast was traditionally Swiss and ample, with coffee on request and espresso drinks made to order. It was lovely to take breakfast on the patio overlooking the lake. There is no mini fridge in the room. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. The location is a bit outside of Spiez, on the 60 bus line, which runs once per hour in either direction (twice per hour at rush times). There did appear to be ample parking available for guests. A note for other non-Europeans: the rooms are not air-conditioned.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Seehotel Jaegerhof Hubertus, and it was truly an outstanding experience from start to finish. The hotel exceeded my expectations in every way. First and foremost, the hospitality was exceptional. The host and owner were incredibly welcoming, attentive, and genuinely passionate about ensuring guests feel comfortable and cared for. Their warmth and personal touch made the stay feel special and memorable. The location is simply breathtaking. The hotel’s proximity to the lake is unbeatable you’re just steps away from the water, which makes it perfect for relaxing walks, quiet moments, or simply enjoying the scenery. The views are spectacular, with stunning lake vistas that create a peaceful and picturesque atmosphere throughout the day. In addition to the beautiful setting, the overall ambiance of the hotel is charming and serene, making it an ideal getaway for anyone looking to unwind. I would highly recommend Seehotel Jaegerhof Hubertus to anyone looking for a combination of excellent service, beautiful surroundings, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. I would absolutely return!

The hotel reception is open only for 8-6 & the owner expects everyone stay back or come early to meet him for checkin... The hotel is very old , well maintained but it's bare minimum .. & at 250/night you expect much better quality & service . Also there is no elevator . I dont know if the bedsheets were changed frequently as I got dust allergy both mornings after waking up. The breakfast again opens only at 8 which is too late & we could not use it either of the 2 nights we stayed there. You want to wake up & get out early for seeing places & not wait for a breakfast that opens at 8.

Lake view from my balcony was amazingly beautiful, no problem with hotel parking, wifi working good, room service and cleaning was also okay.

Es un lugar muy tranquilo y cómodo, la atención al cliente es excelente, el desayuno es muy rico, y tiene una buena ubicación ya que está frente al lago y balneario, también tiene la estación de bus a unos pasos, lo recomiendo ampliamente☺️

La ropa de cama estaba amarilla, no sucia pero ya no debería usarse, da mala impresión. El edredón pesa mucho y no es agradable el descanso. Habitación fría y se notaba humedad. Muy útil el apartamento en el alojamiento y la posibilidad de desayunar frente al lago si hace bueno. Solo hay una persona que se encarga de todo y tuvimos que esperar para poder hacer el check out.
