Great location, nice rooms, great food and staff lovely

The room was clean with a lovely bathroom, no complaints there. The breakfast was good with a good choice, our only complaint was the evening menu, we were expecting good home cooked Yorkshire food but the food was too high end for us.

The hotel was out in the countryside with excellent views over the moors. It was very clean and well cared for. Car parking was good. The room size, bed size, etc was great. One small problem - the room lighting was not very bright during the night time. The food was excellent and the staff were great. It was also a great place for walkers with great access to the countryside. I would recommend it.

Very good, fresh food, but a bigger lounge area would be nice. Really quiet at night. Car park is tight.

Quality Inn and hotel towards the top end of picturesque Swaledale.

The Punchbowl Inn was a lovely pub to stay at, the staff were very friendly, the food was amazing. The room was lovely and had a fantastic view of the dales. If I had to be picky it would have been nice to have a shower curtain or screen over the bath as using the shower head I tended to flood the floor, but the water was lovely and hot. and I would return again.

I personally wouldn’t rate it as 4* accommodation. Food average, room clean but sparse and tired. Lounge area in bar very small and basically non existent and uninviting.

What a stunning location! The rooms and service are excellent and we had a great stay. The food was generous and tasty. I'd certainly recommend The Punch Bowl as an ideal location to explore Swaledale.

Great Hotel and loved the stay there. Fantastic food and a great location. Room 1 in which we stayed was however directly above the bar. It was possible to hear everything, and it was only possible to sleep once the bar closed.

Needs to update to a decent coffee machine if the sign outside says ‘coffee house’. Only filter served and not very nice. Some really lovely, friendly staff. Would definitely come back. 9/10

My wife and I found the Punch Bowl a great place to stay for our walking break. Very well located for our planned walks. Food for each of our 3 nights was first class and breakfasts set us up for the day, Staff were all good and we found Lesley in particular charming with nothing too much trouble.

Dinner was fantastic! Beautiful views.

Great place and great food

We had a great time. The staff were welcoming, friendly and efficient throughout our stay. The room was warm and comfortable with a really great shower and the food was excellent. This was our second visit and it won't be the last!
