This was our second visit to LadyHill, the first time was in 2003. It's a quirky little hotel up a hill away from the town, so it's a bit of a walk to civilisation, but you can easily get a Tuk Tuk. The restaurant is on the 4th floor and is open air with just a roof in case of rain. The view is the best in Galle and there were loads of dragonfly's there. There is no lift so you need to be able to negotiate the stairs. My only real complaint with this hotel is the storage space in the rooms. There isn't one drawer and only one small half sized wardrobe with 4 coat hangers which appeared to have been permanently attached to the rail. So don't plan on unpacking your suitcase here. There's just no way.
