All the staff members were wonderful! We are at the restaurant twice and all our meal were amazing My husband uses a wheelchair and there were some small challenges as it is an older property but staff were helpful and we were prepared for some of the issues

The staff was friendly and great! Loved the hotel bar and lounge. The hotel is in the center of town and you can walk everywhere ! Definitely recommend especially if you are attending any of the Shakespeare festival!

Super clean, nicely updated, beautiful bathroom.

Foster's will definitely be our go-to every time we return to Stratford. Very clean and the 1pm check-in makes it easy to see a 2pm show at the theatre. The room we stayed in also had such a beautiful design with high ceilings and a rainfall shower with moonlight lighting windows. Tasty food too! While breakfast is not included, you do get a free coffee/tea (with refills) or a mimosa if you order breakfast at the restaurant downstairs. It was surprisingly quiet in our room too, even though the restaurant was downstairs.

Charming attractive Inn

The Inn is not an Inn , simply rooms over a restaurant, That said, the room was spacious, clean and comfortable. And the staff kind and helpful. The unfortunate experience was the price, $491 for a room that sold for $161 plus tax the next night, more in line with the facility. Only a room.

the coffee machine was not working. They need to inform people with walkers that the after hours access is in the back.

The Foster Inn is an ideal place to stay in Stratford it has a lovely restaurant with a nice menu for dinner and Bunch. Staff are friendly and very helpful, inn is clean. I would recommend staying here, waking distance into town and close to the theatres.

Great updated room. A number of the outlets couldn’t hold a plug and the elevator was small with a very heavy door so moving suitcases in and out was a challenge. Great staff. Restaurant and bar on property.

The room was big and lovely with high ceilings. The staff were all so nice! If you have dinner there, definitely try the lemon posset.

The location is prime, practically next door to the Avon Theater. Our room was large with a beautiful updated bathroom… a good elevator which is nice for an older Victorian building and not always the case. The restaurant is quaint and had a nice choice for their breakfast/brunch menu and it was well prepared. I would recommend this place.

- Great staff. - Restaurant was also very good with fair pricing - Rooms where clean and well maintained - Bathrooms very immaculate, not a single speck of grime to be found, also very modern - Great central location, half a block from the Avon theatre - No parking on site, there is parallel municipal street parking but at a cost, free municipal public parking lot a few blocks away, the walk is quite nice as you get to walk through the neighborhood.

Had a great stay. The rooms have been renovated, redone bathrooms, new mattresses. Staff were great as usual, had dinner in the restaurant. The new menu was great, steaks cooked as requested. Great location, close to all the shops and theatre. A great stay!!!

Staff was amazing. Room was spotless and are looking to stay there on our next visit. Just wish there was on site parking but at least free parking about 3 blocks away and was not an issue.

Fosters is our "go to" place to stay when we visit Stratford for the shows at the Festival. It is located practically right next door to two of the four theaters and is well within walking distance to the other two. Craig Foster recently sold the hotel he had founded well over 20 years ago (I'm guessing) and it is now managed by Mercers, another fine establishment in Stratford. Over the past year Mercers has been beautifully redoing the rooms and upgrading the bathrooms! The restaurant at Fosters is very, very nice and serves 4 star meals!

Overall the stay was great. Staff is wonderful and the restaurant bar is our favorite stop for drinks before heading off to plays. We have used this property before and the location can not be beaten. My only issue is there was a hold for the full stay amount plus an additional $200 for room charges. Then on check out we were charged the room rate amount. It has now been 7+ days and the fairly large hold is still pending. It is frustrating to have to review and confirm the amount is still not cleared off the card, but the charge was immediate.
