The hotel was nice and clean despite being somewhat dated. The property was very well maintained and felt immaculate overall, which made a strong first impression. The grounds and common areas were clearly taken care of, and the pool area looked especially inviting and well kept, even though we didn’t have time to use it. The room itself was perfect for a one night stay. It was simple but functional, with a TV, refrigerator, and a private patio that added a nice touch and made the space feel more comfortable than expected. However, the room did lack some standard amenities that I’ve typically encountered at most hotels, including a coffee maker and basic toiletries like shampoo and conditioner. One of the main concerns was the shower/tub setup. It required stepping over a large tiled threshold to get in and out, which felt awkward and potentially unsafe. If someone were to slip while exiting, it could easily result in a serious fall. That design really stood out as something that should be improved for guest safety. In terms of location, the hotel is in a great spot. It’s only a couple of blocks from the beach and within walking distance of a main strip filled with restaurants, mom-and-pop shops, and local spots. It’s a convenient and interesting area to stay in, especially for walking around and grabbing food nearby. Overall, this hotel works well as a clean, comfortable place to sleep in a great location, but it doesn’t fully meet my personal expectations for amenities

Great stay at Hotel 153. Good location for local restaurants and just a short walk to the beach. Train station is around 15-20 minutes walk. Really convenient location. Staff friendly and helpful and attentive. Pool was great, as was the pool table.

The staff were excellent, kind and helpful, but the walls were impossibly thin. You could hear every movement made by anyone in the hotel. The rooms also didn’t smell very good. It was a fine place to stay if you’re on a budget, but if you have any trouble sleeping at all, I would look elsewhere.

Séjour agréable, bien accueillis par le personnel, très serviable. Situé à proximité de la plage, des arrêts de bus et des restaurants. Un bémol, nous avons dû payer pour garer notre véhicule de location sur le parking de l'hôtel (un peu cher).

Black mold all over the shower. No shampoo. Room was very smelly and stuffy…no screens on the window so mosquitoes got in. Hot water pot but no coffee. Hardest bed I ever tried to sleep on.

The terrace provided was very nice and the double blinds allowed for the room to get dark with a layer of added protection. The staff was very nice and accomodating as well.

Room was clean. Friendly staff. A couple lights didn’t work, nowhere to plug in coffee maker, and one of the walls needed minor repairs.

Vi kom og første rommet virket ikke låsen på døren. Mannen i resepsjonen var veldig hyggelig og hjelpsom. Vi fikk oppgradert til suite. Der var det ikke balkong da , men det gjorde litt opp med jacuzzi på badet. Sengene var veldig harde og putene var ikke noe gode.

Outdated hotel in a great location, a few blocks for the beach, bars and restaurants

Nothing special about the hotel. It's old and but they tried to clean the rooms well - even though the sheets had an odor (maybe detergent? Overall it's not recommended for a long stay.
