We absolute love staying here! Everything about Fitger's is absolutely wonderful. It never disappoints!!!

Classic and elegant

great location on the lake walk, with stores and restaurants available. room was nice, view was great. coffee maker did not work well, filled up with water and i had to depress the tab to get the (HOT) water to flow out. disappointing interaction at the desk at check out. asked for tea in the breakfast room, was told there was tea in the room - well, there is coffee in the room too but coffee was available with the snacks. clearly disinterested in my experience with my stay and simply ready for the guest to leave. the check out experience tainted my whole stay, as the clerk had to drag herself away from her phone, and the extent of the interaction was literally a grumbled 'anything else? good bye' ... no 'how was your stay', no 'have a good day' and just the dismissive answer to my tea inquiry. i do expect a smile and friendly interaction for this price hotel. disappointing. loved the location, staff interactions ruined it, would not go back, too many better options than to deal with this again.

Great property. Dinner at the pub was awesome. Neat place. Hope to visit again.

Rating: 3/5 (6/10) Fitger’s has a classic, historic vibe and the beds were comfortable. The coffee was good too. But for the price, I expected more. Breakfast was only granola bars, which felt disappointing, and the place feels dated in ways that aren’t entirely charming. It’s fine if you want the landmark experience, but I’m not sure what justifies the cost.

Staff was great, fun places to eat and shop right in the building, walkable to Canal Park.

Nice place

The building is old, with lots of history Unfortunately, it has old, thin walls and you can hear the neighbors talking. Or in our case, hear the TV that was on ALL NIGHT with loud laugh tracks and all. We called the front desk at 3am, but if they tried to call the room they did not follow up. Finally, at 4am we pounded on the wall and woke up them up to turn off the TV. It was a truly horrible hotel experience.

I loved our stay in Duluth and art the Firger Inn. The room was too hot even with the AC running well

Was listed as handicap accessible with handicap parking. They don't even have a ramp for their front crumbling cement stairs! And the handrails are thin and wabbly, rusted to the point that they are barely held into the cement. I only picked this location due to proximity to the hospital as I was having spinal surgery... worst mistake of my life! Severely overpriced, with barely any modern conveniences. No sound proofing in the rooms, so you not only get to listen to noisy neighbors all night long but you also get to 'enjoy' the company of everyone walking the streets, sirens, and misc bang noises. AC didn't work very well in the room either. Older tiny TV that constantly lost connection. At least the mini-fridge worked. Rooms also use physical keys but are so worn out that it takes you at least a full minute of jiggling the damn key around before you can find that right spot to allow you to open the door. Room service is apparently handled by another company that thinks they must be a 5star, cause it'll cost you nearly $40 for a simple omelet breakfast that is mediocre at best. I have gotten better quality food and more of it, from local diners for less than $10. The only thing really worthy of a star are the friendly & helpful people working. Without them, there is no way I'd even have been able to get to my damned room. They do offer 'mini-van' service at the desk but it's on a first-come-first-serve basis. So plan ahead and make arrangements if you have apps.

Thoroughly enjoyed our visit! Great location within walking distance to great shopping, the Amsoil and many restaurants.

Very clean! View of Superior was great. Central downtown location was amazing. Boathouse breakfast was great. Uber was running late and was very thankful for the shuttle service and driver!

Check in was fast and easy, free valet parking is a bonus and hotel proximity to the boardwalk is nice!

It was a great experience for us. Rather on the expensive side of stays but the cost of being by the lake was worth it.

Great staff, beautiful reception are and rooms.

It was a lovely hotel, I really appreciated the glass cups in the rooms instead of single use plastic. The staff was friendly and helpful. We will definitely go back

Wonderful place to stay in Duluth

Have stayed at Fitger's several times over the past years. We made this reservation back in February. When we arrived, we were informed that Fitger's had 'recently' implemented a parking fee of $9 per night, plus tax. We pointed out the time of reservation there was no notification of a parking fee. We were told that the fee was retroactive to prior reservations. Since we had already driven a couple of hours, we had no choice but to pay the charge of $19.60. We will not be returning.
