Staff were really helpful to provide breakfast early on Saturday, so we didn’t miss out.

Hotel very dated need a lick of paint also needs refreshing up.Breakfast very nice.

Cleanliness throughout the hotel was first class and the room was most welcoming .

Breakfast was really good, well cooked, hot and very tasty. The staff were very helpful. Location spot on. We were on an end room over the car park and there were security lights on a timer , so they shone into the room . There were blinds but didn't shut out the light. I would definitely go again, loved our week there .

Did not have any meals. Room was excellent except for steps down to bathroom. House keeping was excellent with tea coffee and biscuits topped up each day also towels changed when required. Staff were cheerful and friendly. Only concern was sometimes noise from large vent pipe at end of the hotel. Would definitely use hotel again but ask for room at other end of the hotel.

Mattress in room was very well worn past it’s sell by date. Springs caused my wife to have a bad back Dining choice very limited. Location excellent. Convenient car park

We were allocated room 308. Up the back stairs and along narrow corridors. The room was small and dark. The bathroom was tiny. The window overlooked the back yard, the dustbins and a huge extractor fan. The wind howled around the yard like a vortex. The staff were pleasant and the breakfast was nice. Location was near to the front and parking was free to residents.

Great location with plenty of onsite parking. Would recommend.

We always stay at the Royal Hotel if we are in WSM for the night. In terms of being in a central location it can't be beaten. It's a traditional and spacious hotel. The staff always go above and beyond to assist you. It's a beautiful, old building. We had a twin room and the bathroom was larger than my living room. Wonderful sea views. I miss the view already! Very highly recommended. Haven't tried the food sadly but it looks delicious!

The staff were helpful and friendly on first arriving - the room was clean and suitable - the bar staff were friendly - We ate the Carvery on Sundsy which was lovely and we also had breakfast in the morning which was also lovely - make sure to book for evening meal as its very popular

Property and furnishings dated . Cobwebs in room, threadbare carpet,mattress needs replacement

The room was very dated and needs a lot of fixing and bringing up to standard, lampshades disintegrating and broken fan. Mattress worn thin and very uncomfortable. The room was dirty upon arrival, floors hadn't been vacuumed or mopped. However, staff were all friendly and happy to help and there was a good selection of tea/coffee available.

The room was clean and tidy, spacious, bed was lumpy, and there is a green light on all night so room is never dark. Staff were very polite and friendly. Restaurant was very hit and miss with there opening times. But plenty of other Restaurants outside hotel. Breakfast had limited cereals, cooked breakfast had overcooked sausages and bacon and was overpriced at £17. Register your car at reception for free parking, this is a bonus for being so close to sea front. If you have a room overlooking square then be aware that the bar opposite is open with music until 2.30am.

Room was lovely. We had a suite overlooking the square. Parking was free and felt safe to leave car all weekend.
