Absolutely amazing me and my partner really want to go back

Comfy bed and pillows, was warm like most hotel rooms but at least had a fan. Food was great, staff all very welcoming and friendly. Struggling to think of any negatives, so the only thing I can think of was that booklet in room says full sky access on TV including movies and sports, it didn't, only had sky free view, but wasn't an issue for me personally. Great place, great location and very interesting history. Would happily stay here again

Jamaica inn was beautiful. Set on the Bodmin Moor. Very romantic and atmospheric. Food was lovely and breakfast very good. Staff were all friendly and helpful. Will definatly be going back especially for the paranormal events. Fantastic stay.

Had a great stop here on our way down deeper into Cornwall. Arrived late but had a drink in the bar and quick check in. The room was spacious tidy and in good condition. We both slept really well. In the morning we had a great breakfast and tour around their museum. Thanks for a great stay

Smallish room - very hot but did provide fan. Staff excellnt

Nice room with patio doors leading to outside decking strip with chairs to enjoy the nice views. Not private as open-plan & people can walk around the outside, also there is a narrow road where a car did come around to the exit. Room did have a table top fan thank goodness as it was very hot with the sun on the room from early morning. Hair dryer didn’t have enough power, would have been hours trying to dry my hair- too hot anyway to have going for long. Shower pressure low, I doubt they can do anything about that given where the property is situated. Restaurant staff very good, SAM in particular. We were initially going to dine in the bar but there was plenty of room in the restaurant so we were offered to sit in there & have the fish & chips off the bar menu. We were disappointed in the fish - had thick batter & very little fish, my husband mentioned it to a member of staff. Within minutes SAM came & apologised profusely advising us she would get another meal straight away. We opted for the steak pie instead which the person on the next table looked to be enjoying. It was very good, SAM couldn’t apologise enough. We went to our room & a knock on the door was SAM with a bottle of red wine (the same as we had had a glass of with our meal )& 2 glasses - excellent customer service. Lady on reception was very pleasant both on arrival & at check-out. A comfortable bed & a pleasant stay.

Lovely place to stay, amazing views of the surrounding countryside. Room was clean and comfortable. The lady on reception was lovely and very helpful. Looking forward to my next stay!

Quaint while at the same time quite large, very good bar and kitchen food good.i thought the staff could have had a bit more personality but they were efficient

Stayed for 2 nights,rooms were spotless,good service on that whole. The only downside was that when someone was ordering food at the bar,the queue for drinks started to build up .unfortunately there was not enough staff behind the bar

Excellent stay & good value for money

We have visited and stayed at the Jamaica Inn a number of times over the years but unfortunately this time we were left a bit disappointed. Not with the place or most of the staff themselves but with the entitlement of other visitors and patrons who bring their dogs into the establishment. Nearly all the dog owners were either having their dogs sitting where people need to walk, on long leads so they can roam or not on leads at all so they can roam anywhere. One even had her dog sitting on the seat where other people will then sit. In my opinion staff should keep these dog owners in check as it will likely lead to someone tripping up or getting tripped up by these animals which will end up with serious injury to a person. No dog should be allowed to sit in a seat at a table. One member of staff who was serving food was also petting one dog. The place is nice to visit but for me I’m not in a rush to come back if the place is going to be overrun by inconsiderate dogs owners and staff who are happy to tolerate it.

Very expensive room. Comfy bed. Accessible room allocated with large wet room but we did not expect or need this. Pleasant staff and excellent breakfast. Good parking. Interesting building.

Simply can’t fault it!

The stay was lovely. Comfortable room, friendly staff, spotlessly clean. Wifi is very weak and intermittent which made working in my room challenging. The biggest disappointment by far was the restaurant. Food was not as advertised, poor quality and had I not been charging it to expenses, I absolutely would have sent it back. When I showed polite but obvious disappointment to the waiter, he offered no apology or alternative. I would consider staying at the hotel again but until the kitchen has an overhaul, won't be eating there again.
