Really good experience Upgrade to the deluxe larger room is well worth it. Really nice room and space. Spa is great. Very chilled out hotel. Restaurant is also good and accommodating to dietary needs

The rooms are not designed for the summer, no air-conditioning just standard desk fans. Breakfast was a bit of a let down, as it was all over cooked (mainly the eggs).

Lovely stay for my girlfriend's birthday, only issue we had was the heat of the room and being unable to keep it cool, otherwise very happy with our stay.

Helpful giving ground floor room due yo disability but 1 double bed,paid for 2 separate beds. Staff got put you up very low camp bed,great bur then virtually impossible yo move round the room. Told breakfast 7.30,too late as we had to get away early went to check out ,oh no it's 7 weekdays went without paid for breakfast for nothing.

We travelled from Stroud, hoping to treat ourselves to a relaxing stay at a well-known hotel. There were definitely positives. The room was very clean, well maintained and attractive, and the pool and spa facilities were excellent. The seating areas and walking opportunities around the hotel were great. Breakfast was one of the main let-downs. The continental breakfast was only okay, and my bacon sandwich was average. My partner paid an extra £3 for the “American style pancakes”, but what arrived was extremely underwhelming: four very thin pancakes, a tiny amount of sliced strawberry, and six blueberries. For a hotel of this standard, we were surprised by the lack of quality. Our evening in the bar was affected by an extremely drunk guest who was disturbing others while they were eating and drinking. He was drinking directly from a bottle of red wine and approaching people, which made the atmosphere uncomfortable. The situation became worse when I went to the toilet and the same guest was in there behaving in an aggravated manner, talking loudly. I felt intimidated and stayed in the cubicle until he left. We also slept very poorly due to a groaning noise outside our room late into the night, and the room was uncomfortably hot. When we got home, both of us were shattered and slept for three hours, which was the opposite of the relaxing stay we wanted. Overall, the hotel has excellent facilities, but the stay was let down by breakfast, the bar situation, and poor sleep.

Lovely welcome from staff on arrival and gorgeous large room with a huge comfy bed. The gym and spa facilities were amazing, clean and well looked after Breakfast buffet was really generous and good selection

Unfortunately our package included entrance to the spa , on arriving I enquired about using the spa but the receptionist said it was best to give the spa a miss as it was so hot it was like a greenhouse . As we had driven a way we didn’t want to be over heated rather have an hour relaxing before going out for the evening . Instead we looked for an outside area to sit and unwind with a cold drink . We found a seating area with a couple of tables . There was quite a lot of cups , glasses and plates on each table and a lot of ants on these . They still remained uncollected when we went out in the evening . Our room did have a small fan provided but unfortunately the fan caught in the grating protecting this emitting a loud screech . We found this out once we had retired for the night so didn’t request a different one and didn’t use it . The breakfast was very good and the waiting staff pleasant and efficient .

Reception staff welcoming,bar staff equally as lovely, room was perfect. Hotel really clean and presentable. Breakfast was very nicely presented,great choice and cooked to perfection. No complaints at all ! Compliments to the team

What a wonderful stay, we were upgraded to a deluxe room for my husbands 40th without us even asking so that was a lush surprise and very welcome. The staff everywhere were all really attentive and informative. We only had breakfast here but it was absolutely delicious, I would 100% recommend and visit again.

My room was dirty, bed poorly made rubbish left in the room. Room service was cold

It’s was a little nosy during the night as the walls maybe a little thin and you can hear everything from the next room. Apart from that it’s a lovely hotel with an outstanding spa facilities.

Ants in the bedroom and on the bed

The bedroom was clean but on arrival my husband had arranged a surprise which they did not deliver and then blamed technology. I'm allergic to cats and they have a resident cat which we saw the notice on the last day, this should be on the website, I was lucky I did not have an allergic reaction. The bread was mouldy which staff did clearly not see my husband had to inform them, not good for saying they claim to be 4 star!! Was not impressed by the menu either. Overall stay was ok

The stay didn’t worth the money I paid. The hotel was outdated and facilities were dirty. Room was very outdated and not properly cleaned. The breakfast was under average! Staff were helpful

Nice quiet location. Breakfast was good. Dinner was very good. The Spa are is great.
