Spotless room Right in centre of town

Bad vibes, dated room decor didn't match pictures, kitchen smell everywhere. Stayed for an hour and left.

Toilet did not flush. room was very cold. food not great, Steak..... but not of any noticeable quality. Parking very difficult to navigate where it was. wont stay again

Room was nice and bed very comfortable. Only ate breakfast but was very tasty.

Warm and spacious comfortable room, helpful staff, pleasant ambience, conveniently situated.

It was perfect for what we needed it for, a stop off to break up the journey south from North Scotland. We loved the original features of the hotel, it was full of character. The staff were very professional and nice. We also checked in with our dog, Bella, which all went very well. The carpark is round the one way system by car so feels completely detached from the Hotel but in fact the back door of the hotel leads onto it. The room was a bit tired but comfortable and served us well for our stay.

This is an amazing hotel with excellent staff. It is a truly english experience. The “dated” aesthetic is not a negative. This is a true old beauty straight out of movies.

Beautiful room in a wonderful hotel. The staff were really friendly and the amenities were outstanding. Location was great particularly if you want to enjoy the shopping in Carlisle.

Een mooi statig hotel met aantrekkelijke prijzen. Mijn kamer was prima ingericht voor mijn doel: wandelen. Dus er waren bijvoorbeeld rekjes om spullen te laten drogen. Verder alles wat je normaal verwacht plus een zwembad en whirlpool. En een heel vrolijke mevrouw die het ontbijt regelt. Een heel mooi begin van mijn volgende dag.

Clean and tidy hotel, very warm welcome at front reception. Lovely to be handed a proper door key rather than a digital keycard. Swimming pool small but clean and warm temperature and the hot tub was delightful. Great access to local pedestrianised shopping area.

Great location in the centre of town. I stayed in the club room. It was clean with the exception on the toilet bowl which needed a good scrubbing. The bed was comfortable. Please note this hotel accepts dogs. Day two of my stay consisted of a dog race up and down the corridors and constant barking whenever the guests next door left their dog or crying. I won’t be staying here again for this reason.
