Completely blew all expectations! Really lovely property, perfect location to wander into town with lots of shops and plenty of choices for places to eat, to head off for a beautiful walk out on the trails or activities on the lake. It’s a short drive to other popular spots like Grasmere for gingerbread and caves! The host was a pleasure. Really friendly and super helpful. Breakfast in the morning was fab and we really enjoyed our stay here. Would absolutely recommend.

The room was really clean, staff were lovely. We had great breakfast's to keep us going for several hours. We were giving a parking permit from the hotel for the time we were there. Parking area was about 100 metres away. It was a great location with plenty of shops, bars and places to eat. We would definitely stay again.

The only negative comment we can make is there was no running water on the last day ( no fault of the guest house). We skipped breakfast and returned home early.

Everything was great, from the communication, to the comfort and cleanliness of the room, to the fab shower, and the delicious breakfast. And the view from the room was incredible! Loughrigg out of one window and the Fairfield horseshoe from the other! Location is great for both the town centre and the lake, with a bus stop right outside for going further afield! Loved our stay and would completely recommend!

My stay at Lyndale was great. Very welcoming, extremely clean and well cared for. My room had everything I needed. Breakfast was lovely. There's nothing I would change, really enjoyed my stay there and would definitely stay again.

Lovely welcome by the host, very friendly and excellent breakfast. Avcommodation also very conveniently located by a bus stop. Highly recommend!

We had a really lovely stay at Lyndale Guest House and would happily recommend it. The location is very convenient, with shops and everything you need close by, which made our stay really easy and enjoyable. Parking was also a big plus — hassle-free and very helpful when traveling by car. The guest house itself was clean, comfortable, and well looked after. You can tell care is taken to make guests feel welcome, and overall it had a warm, homely feel. Breakfast was included and nicely prepared — a great way to start the day. The only tiny (and friendly!) note would be… breakfast never quite feels complete without two eggs 😄 so maybe one extra egg would make it absolutely perfect! Overall, a very pleasant stay with great value, and we’d definitely come back again 👍

Lovely b&b. Stayed with my partner for 2 nights, spotless room and tasty full English in the morning. Great location, short walk into Ambleside city centre and easy access to some great hikes

Everything was just spot on; room clean & of good size, Alison the perfect host, breakfast excellent particularly the bacon, and a great location in Ambleside with free parking. Highly recommended and we will definitely return.

I do not have enough superlatives for this place. Fantastic location (10 mins walk to the lake and 10 mins walk into the centre of Ambleside), unbelievable value (free parking and at other car parks in nearby towns). Alison was so welcoming and the room was gorgeous. A really lovely stay with our two dogs who were made most welcome too! Fantastic breakfast included with plenty choice, we won’t be staying anywhere else in the Lakes now!

All aspects of the guest house stay were excellent. Will definitely be staying there again.

We had an excellent 3 nights at Lyndale’s guest house. The host Allison answered all our questions about the village of Ambleside. Breakfast was generous. She gave us a parking pass free of charge to a lot that’s about 2 minutes away by walking. 10 minutes away (walking) from the center. Would definitely recommend !

I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Alison’s B&B. The location was perfect, the parking permit an unexpected bonus and my room was spacious and immaculately clean. The breakfast was lovely and freshly cooked to order and Alison was warm and welcoming. I would definitely stay again when in Ambleside.
