Check in person was not very informative - maybe it was someone filling in when we arrived. The breakfast was very good and service at breakfast was wonderful. The building is old, so I didn't expect a modern level of amenities. Our bathroom door was very sticky- so hard to close and open. There were also wires and extension cords all over, which seems precarious. And still not many outlets actually usable for guests.

Very good stay at the Amethyst Inn at Regents Park. Convenient, quiet, nice location. Nice neighbourhood for walking; about 15 minutes to the water. The Inn was very quiet; almost no sound between rooms/floors, or outside our door. There are a lot of steps in this lovely old building, so a room, particularly on the top floor, is not for the faint of heart or a person with impeded mobility. Hauling luggage upstairs was a workout. The room and bathroom were huge and comfortable; no air conditioning but several fans made the heat most bearable. The tub/hand shower combination was challenging at first, but we expected this. The bed was very comfortable, and all of the bed and bath linens were good quality. Breakfasts were superb, far exceeding our expectations. The coffee and freshly baked good were sublime. The breakfast/day staff was very helpful and friendly. Check-in was brisk, and while not especially welcoming, efficient. Definitely would recommend this Inn, and would stay again.

This was a cute little place, but very old. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was really good. They were able to accommodate my gluten allergy.

Everything was top-notch, but the sit-down breakfast was the real highlight—easily worth well over the $20 per person.

AMAZING. Above and beyond in terms of expectation. The room was massive although I wasn't there long. Breakfast the next morning was huge and very satisfying. The young man serving was very professional and made great conversation with the room. Would definitely stay here again for a longer time.

My water glass was not cleaned after one night. Although the huge clawfoot tub was wonderful for a bath, it was a bit nerve-wracking to take a shower in it, since there are no grab bars and the wall is several inches away, behind the shower curtain. Otherwise, everything fine. A bit too much furniture in my room.

Staff was exceptional and kind. They let us store luggage before check in and after check out which was incredibly helpful. Lodging was clean and roomy! Breakfast was delicious and charming. Navigating the bus system was easy peasy as well which added to the charm! Would recommend staying here and would happily stay here again.

Fabulous visit to the amethyst inn. Very cute quirky inn. Our room was very large and well furnished.filled with character. Breakfast was fantastic. Huge portions and quality food.

This was our third stay at Amethyst Inn. We love this place! The location is perfect for us. The breakfast is amazing. We will definitely be back again for a fourth time.

We (2) stayed in the comfort room for 8 days. When we first got here, we were a little disappointed with not having a standing shower in the room but overtime we made it work! The room itself was really clean and housekeeping came every single day. The staff here are incredibly kind and provided us with everything we asked for. The breakfast was 10/10 every single day. We couldn't be more happy. It's very quiet too. We will definitely come back here again. So thankful for the staff here, truly. Especially Serena and Rachel.
