I booked a Deluxe Queen Bed room and checked in around 7 p.m. because I had just finished work. The staff member who assisted me said that my room wasn’t ready yet, so I had to wait for a while. I decided to go to the mall to have a drink.
When I came back around 9:15 p.m. to collect my key, the receptionist had already changed shifts, and the new staff member didn’t know about my booking. I saw my signed check-in paper showing that I was assigned to a room on the 10th floor (which I assumed it was the Deluxe Queen Bed room). However, he said I wasn’t assigned yet, and that the room listed on my paper had already been given to another guest.
He then apologized and assigned me to a Deluxe Twin Bed room on 5th floor instead. Honestly, I don’t really mind the bed type, but if the room I booked wasn’t actually available, you should have just told me the truth. I was exhausted after a long day at work, and you made me wait while you were supposedly preparing my requested room—but in the end, I didn’t even get it. Shame on you.
