We reached the villa at night due to delay with our flight, tired and wanted to rest. Instead of being welcomed, we were rejected by the receptionist saying that there was an overbooking situation and the villa that we booked way ahead before was somehow no longer available. They said they had prepared another villa as a substitute (D’Wina Villa Batu Belig) and said that it was actually an upgrade for us. After talking to the manager and all, there really were no options other than moving to that other villa. We felt that the situation could be handled better and they could have notified us via email or something before we reached the hotel with our heavy luggage. Also, we ended up staying at a villa we don’t want in the first place. To their credit, D’Wina Villa is also a beautiful villa, but I still feel like it’s not what I’m paying for.
