I am extremely disappointed with both Expedia and The Westin Cozumel regarding my recent stay.
When I booked my vacation through Expedia, I specifically purchased and paid for an all-inclusive package. However, upon arrival at The Westin Cozumel, I was informed that my reservation did not include the all-inclusive benefits I had purchased $2000. This created confusion, frustration, and unnecessary stress during what was supposed to be a family vacation.
The most disappointing aspect was the lack of communication between Expedia and the hotel. Each party seemed to have different information about my reservation, leaving me caught in the middle trying to resolve an issue that should have been handled before my arrival. As a customer, I should not have to prove that I purchased services that were clearly included in my booking confirmation.
I chose Expedia because I trusted the accuracy of the reservation details, and I chose The Westin Cozumel expecting a premium guest experience. Unfortunately, both companies failed to coordinate and honor the all-inclusive package that I paid for.
I hope Expedia and The Westin Cozumel review their booking and communication processes to prevent other travelers from experiencing the same issue. Customers should receive exactly what they purchase, without having to spend valuable vacation time resolving reservation discrepancies.
Overall, this experience significantly impacted my stay and left me disappointed with both Expedia and The Westi
