Enjoyed a luvly night at the Cawdor Very impressed with the staff Diolch yn fawr iawn

Our room was clean and comfortable, we even had an iron and ironing board which was very useful. Hairdryer was good, lovely body wash and shampoo in the bathroom. Good quality bedding and towels. The staff were very courteous and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. We had an evening meal which was very good, very generous portions and good quality. The breakfasts were excellent. The car park has quite a few steep steps down to reception but it is possible to walk around the road and it’s easy to drop off and pick up outside of the hotel. It is in a central location and is in the centre of town. Excellent location for walking and sightseeing around the area.

Room was very clean and comfortable. Staff were friendly and breakfast was great. Property has a lot of stairs from the car park to the hotel and also to the rooms which would be useful to mention in the booking information.

Great supper and breakfast at hotel. Would have enjoyed staying longer. Receptionist and bar staff were very friendly and helpful.

Great hotel in the heart of the town. The food is excellent, staff warm and friendly, and the parking gated and secure. We love this part of Wales and always try to stay here if vsiting.

Really nice place

Nice hotel, great building, excellent parking, spacious and tidy room and bathroom, friendly staff, suberb food at the restaurant. The only hiccup was the nonexistent communication before the stay, I sent an email with some questions twice before our stay and never heard anything back.

Overall great stay, room lovely and big, lovely big bath and the food was delicious. Small improvements would include accessibility access- we were on second floor which for us was fine, but for those with limited mobility no lift. Would also note the room got very warm, no air con so something to be mindful of, particularly in the summer months (there was a plug in small fan available).

The Cawdor is expetional in every aspect of hospitality. They went above and beyond to welcome us, host us and make sure everything stacked.up to be the best stay. Highly recommemd

Good welcome. Special request for room with a bath was met. Massive luxurious bedroom. Top end toiletries but dispensers could be lower down in bath area so they can be reached when bathing. Superb breakfast. Good to perfection. Excellent choice and served to you at your table. Delicious quality ground coffee. Always love our stay at the Cawdor. It never disappoints.

Nice location, lovely hotel, great staff, and excellent food

The room was clean and full of character but the inability of the cold water taps (both bath and whb) to provide cold water unless it runs for at least 2 minutes really needs to resolved by management as a matter of urgency.Relying on your guests to accept this as a consequence of having "quirky taps" - as stated by the very small sign affixed to the whb - is not good enough.Get new taps asap! The evening meals were plentiful but in the case of the salmon, prawn and pasta dish, it was over cooked. The Morrocan Lamb was very good. £9.50 for a glass of Pinot was a bit steep!

Beautiful room, clean establishment, friendly staff, excellent food. A really great place to stay. Warning: it's an old building with no lift. If stairs are a problem for you... This starts at the car park, which is a good size, though weird to get to.

Nice room ,but rather small, with the 4 poster bed .Evening meal was good but only soup available as starter. End of evening sat with a drink in lounge talking to friends and advised last orders at 10 then waiter came and asked if we were staying at the hotel , they should have known this . Breakfast was very nice .

Room was spotless! We were upgraded on arrival and the bathroom was brilliant, excellent shower! Staff were all very helpful and friendly.

Evening meal excellent. Friendly polite staff. Safe parking. Rooms quiet and pleasant.
