Everything was perfect... Manager Maria and other staff were very helpful and kind, they helped us arrange every transportation we need and the tour to Prison Island & Stone Town. Beautiful beautiful bungalow and well-maintained. Awesome experience that you won't regret staying in, very reasonable price and I will definitely come back to this resort if I visit Zanzibar again...

Un autentico paradiso, poche ville immerse nella jungla, molte con vista diretta sul mare e servite da un personale fantastico e una ristorazione eccellente. Qui il mare non è meraviglioso, ma la magnificenza del sito cancella questo minus: la privacy assoluta e il silenzio interrotto solo dai rumori della jungla rrendono questo resort incomparabile per chi cerca relax e bellezza lontano dalle piu note spiagge invase dal turismo di massa, sulla carta migliori ma di fatto invivibili.

I stayed for three nights as a solo traveler in one of the garden suites. Overall, I think this is an excellent resort that is affordable, clean, with a gorgeous beach very friendly staff I did not do full board but was able to order off the lunch menu for dinner and overall the food was good. I saw snakes, huge centipedes, lots of different species of fish, hermit crabs bush babies, and other types of lizards. I think this would be really cool if your child is into animals. If you’re interested in snorkeling, bring your own mask. There is only one at the resort and it’s quite scratched up. Also- bring sunscreen as it’s $50USD at the resort. Also, the beach is not really accessible if you’re handicapped because the one stair to the ocean is several feet from the sand and you have to jump off of it. The hotel is only about 30 minutes from Stonetown in the airport which makes it really convenient if you are only there for a few days. I had a massage, which was excellent. I booked through Expedia so I got 20% off of spa service and a free drink. I will definitely be back with my family.

I was very satisfied with my stay and plan to return again. The villas are beautiful and secluded. The food is amazing and the service is wonderful.

Private and well maintained resort

The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. We always looked forward to the meals because the food was delicious and great conversation with the staff. They made us feel at home, I wished we had stayed longer! It was my fiance’s birthday and they made it as special as possible, they made him his favourite dish and had a birthday song performance that left him beaming from ear to ear. It was truly a memorable stay at Zanzi. A beautiful hideaway from the world, the villa was spectacular and private. We look forward to coming back again.

Unbelievable, a gorgeous property. The photos do not do it justice. We will be back The team were very welcoming and were also very kind making us an early breakfast so we could eat before our flight from Zanzibar. Fabulous food.

A super quiet resort for relax

Fantastic place with very friendly people always being helpful. Our villa was very nice with a private pool as well as private access to the beach. The food was excellent and beyond even our high expectation.

Spectacular views, excellent service with lovely people, top notch menu and cooking, peaceful, serene and luxurious. Was a glorious stay for our honeymoon. Can’t recommend it enough. Shout out to Moodi for handling all our arrangements, Emmanuel for making our dinner experiences special (what a talented singer!), Jesca, Rose and Abdallah for their excellent service and warm smiles!

We stayed in a beautiful villa at Zanzi Resort with its own private pool and the setting and surroundings are stunning. However, what let it down is the dinner menu on both nights. We were presented with a five-course tasting menu but no matter how you dress it up, 'sticky chicken wings with fries' for a main course does not fall under a fine dining experience. This is the type of dish one expects to have at a fast food restaurant and not at a five-star resort like Zanzi. Even on the first night, I found the stuffed aubergine with chicken main course to be very stodgy. The dinner service on the first night was excellent but on the second night, it was a bit haphazard as we were served the wrong items and also dishes were served very late. The jetty at the resort offers stunning views, including a beautiful sunset.
