This was a beautiful property and very friendly staff, and lots of included activities. Shopping nearby was fun too!

The welcome we received from the staff was nothing short of amazing – warm smiles, gracious greetings, and a sincere eagerness to make us feel right at home. The check-in process was one of the most intimate and pleasant we’ve ever experienced. Rather than feeling transactional or rushed, it was relaxed and personalized, making us feel like valued guests rather than just another booking. We appreciated the attention to detail and the thoughtful way everything was explained to us. Throughout our stay, every member of the staff continued to impress us with their friendliness and professionalism. Whether we were passing by reception, dining, or simply relaxing on the property, we were always met with warm greetings and helpful attitudes. It’s clear that the staff take real pride in creating a positive experience for guests, and it made a big difference in how enjoyable and relaxing our time was. We left feeling incredibly refreshed and well taken care of, and it’s largely thanks to the incredible team at Veranda Grand Baie. We can’t wait to return.

The hotel itself has a nice design and clearly has aspirations of grandeur but it is let down by the service. Reception staff are passive aggressive and indifferent. Room service options are awful. Spend a bit more and go to another resort nearby.

Mycket nöjd med vår vistelse på 1 vecka. Jättefint poolområde med en poolbar där du också kunde äta lunch. Liten strand och lite vassa stentrappor ner till vattnet men fin botten och ljuvligt vatten. En del solsängar i mindre bra skick men de byttes ut under vår vecka så jättebra! Frukostbuffen jättefin och fanns allt. Vi åt lunch några gånger och jättegod mat dock kanske lite onödigt dyr men är ju ofta så på hotell. Bra läge med gångavstånd in till Grand Baie med många restauranger! Fanns även ett gym som var fräsht. Vi skulle absolut vilja bo här igen och kan rekommendera det!

Stayed here March 2025 for business. The pictures of the rooms online look nothing like the actual rooms. We booked a family room with the separate seating area and double beds. We got an approx 300sq/ft room with one queen bed and a hanging bamboo curtain separating two single beds - they showed us the other options which frankly were even worse. I cannot stress enough how shockingly inaccurate the online advertisements of this hotel are. We did not have hot water for most of the week. There were cockroaches in the bathroom regularly. The common areas are fairly nice and the food at the buffet is acceptable but nothing to write home about. The bars are rarely tended, so be prepared to typically wait 5-10 mins for drink service while they track down a bartender. To call out a couple positives: the staff were very nice and we had one dinner at the Lobster Restaurant on the beach which I would rate fairly highly. Overall, not a great experience and not what I would expect for $250 /night. I would not stay here again, the quality does not warrant the pricetag. Finally, be cautious when you checkout. They sneak a "charity charge" on your invoice without calling it out (~$25). It's for a number of local non-profits which ultimately I donated to but it certainly would have preferred that it had been communicated.

Très bon séjour dans cet hôtel à taille humaine très calme et bien situé, tout le personnel est très sympa, bon buffet varié, piscine bien et la plage plutôt petite mais suffisante. Bonne adresse

Property is refreshing and modern. Great pool and beach area, crystal clear water. Food was good as was service. Check in was a bit weird and long winded, perhaps island time.

Very nice hotel with beautiful interior design that creates a very calm and relaxed atmosphere. The staff was very friendly and serviceminded as well. We also enjoyed that there were different activities at the hotel (biking trips, volleyball, Ping pong table, library etc.).

Une magnifique expérience dans un cadre splendide avec une équipe au top, à l écoute et toujours la pour s adapter aux demandes. Pour les voyageurs arrivant tôt comme moi et ayant prévenu, la chambre peut être mise à disposition plus tôt moyennant un petit supplément Merci encore à tout le personnel depuis les jardiniers, les serveurs, femmes de ménages, l accueil, et tous les intervenants, je reviendrai avec plaisir
