Check-in was disorganized, the hotel was short staffed, they ran out of food, there was nowhere to sit in the lobby, and the continental breakfast was nothing special considering the price,

Historic and neat, but rundown and in need of renovation.

We had a nice time. The porch is beautiful and we had an excellent meal at the Heirloom restaurant!

Food was never hot.Breakfast and Dinner was cold.A lot of noise during the night.

It was good but the wedding going on was loud and disruptive as we were looking forward to a more tranquil visit. However it was all good

this was a beautiful hotel with the wrap around porch, stairs and fountain. it did need a new coat of paint and regardless it was lovely. some of the furniture in the interior was not as attractive as it could have been. stay with a theme! all in all, this was a unique experience and i was happy to stay here.

Wonderful, well maintained building on the Chautauqua Institute property. It felt like you were going back to an earlier time.

The hotel and staff were wonderful.

I loved this stay but for one thing. No food available for dinner on my 66th birthday because the restaurant was rented out for a wedding. If only I had thought to rent the whole place out in advance I could have eaten here! Being off season there was nothing open on campus so we had to drive for food. Oh well. Apart from that, it was all I remembered. I’d last been here 50 years ago with my now departed parents and wanted to relive it for my 66th. Well, I certainly did that. The property is as beautiful as I remember and the stay comfortable. Highly recommended.

Our room was in a sad state. Floor slanted so badly it looked like a ramp. Noisy from guests above us. Entire place in dire need of upgrades.

This building gives you a wonderful 19th century feeling. It is located in a beautiful garden. There was even a 25 minutes Saturday night fireworks (provided by a wedding, though).

Beautiful place, clean and wonderful. Breakfast should be more curated in my opinion.

No valet available when we checked in and the parking lot was 5 blocks away!!!

I have dreamed of staying here since a child. It was perfect. Can’t wait to come back.
