At 2 PM, after I said "I have a booking for tonight", the first thing the staff said to me is "check in at 3 PM". Yes, I respect that, but it's my first trip in Japan, not to say first time in Kumamoto. I just wanted to make sure that I came to the right place. Maybe it's because his English ability is limited. Luckily, other younger staff came in and offered to check in my luggage for me. So that, I could walk around lightly. The worst thing happened at 6 PM when the rain was heavy and the hotel experienced a power outage, while other surrounding buildings still had power. It took 3 hours for it to restore. Not recommended.
