We loved our stay here. Our top floor, rear room was gorgeous, with a balcony view over the garden, a mass of wood beams, wide plan original floors and a truly comfortable, big bed. The small lounge/breakfast room was lovely, and the buffet breakfast itself just perfect. Location is outside the main tourist area yet easily walkable to everthing, perfect for us. And the best part was the truly friendly and helpful staff, particularly Joana, the manager, and Joana #2, her deputy. If you go to Lisbon you should stay here!!

We had a great stay at A Bela Aurora. It is excellently located - close to downtown at the top of the hill but not right in the middle of everything to reduce noise. The restaurants around there are great (and cheap for excellent food!) and it felt more like where a lot of the locals live and go out. The service was great. The room was kept clean every day. The breakfast is great and you can eat it in a lovely garden. There are two types of rooms: garden facing and city facing. We had a city facing room and it can be a bit noisy with mopeds and the bin men outside on the street, though I am a very light sleeper and I got used to and slept through after the first night. The whirring of the aircon can also help! Rita is very friendly and helpful. I would defiitely recommend, especially the garden facing rooms.
