Nice pool and parking was free and felt safe. Room was a bit small but would definitely stay here again.

We stayed at the Colonial Hotel for a couples getaway. We had a nice time. It was a nice room, a unique building and a great pool/ restaurant area. We enjoyed the pool in the afternoon. It was clean, easy to get two chairs and the staff was excellent. Quickly came over to give us a menu and take our order. We aLeo enjoyed sitting by a fire table in the evening. We liked that it was right on the Grandbend strip and we could walk everywhere we wanted to go. We did ask for some guidance on dinner when checking in and didn’t really get any information. We ended up figuring it out on our own. Overall, we had a great time and would definitely go back.

Nice vibes clean

Hotel is really clean, staff is friendly. Beach isn't too far to walk to. However, we had a standard queen room and it is VERY small for the price. We found the hotel to be overpriced all things considered (pool, location, cleanliness etc).

Superb getaway at Colonial. Most helpful, kind and attentive staff. Lobby and rooms were spacious, clean and complete with all one might need. Pool and pool bar was pristine, with an excellent range of offerings on the menu. Absolutely would recommend and will be back.

This place is just simply awesome! The location is perfect, right on the strip. The staff is super attentive. The free coffee is the best I’ve ever had. The drinks and food in the pool area are great. Honestly, couldn’t be better!

Great property. Courtyard rooms have access to the outdoor common spaces which is nice. Resort feel. Pool is clean. Staff is attentive.

Stayed one night prior to attending a show at the Huron County Playhouse. Staff was very friendly and our room location was fantastic, although the bathroom was in need of some repair. Would definitely stay again and would highly recommend to friends.

We have been to this hotel three times now and this third time was not a great experience compared to the previous times. The staff at the front desk were not friendly or welcoming. For housekeeping, they gave us stained towels. The room was nice but definitely not worth the money we paid.

Upon arrival the front desk staff just wasn’t friendly. Then upon arrival at our premium queen guest room it was so small that the entrance door literally barely cleared the bed frame. There are no closets, coffee maker or microwave in the room which is a pretty standard feature in most hotels. The common areas are beautiful but the actual room was disappointing for the price.

The property is really nice, the rooms a little small but very clean, modern and well appointed. The pool area was also excellent and the staff great. The only problem we experienced was the night staff. We were a group of 8 sitting around the fire table outside which was lovely. Someone from the street started talking to us and made us laugh. It was shortly after 10 pm so maybe it was too late??? We don’t know but the people on the sidewalk outside were fooling around and I don’t know what the night clerk was thinking but he came over and told US to act our age. It was not only terribly rude, it wasn’t us carrying on, it was outside the property! Terrible customer service and treatment which sent us to our rooms and wrecked our evening. Other than that it was excellent.
