Peaceful is the word that remind me about this Guesthouse. As the plan to Kyoto was last-minute decided then I chose the available accommodation based on the price, for sure, the lowest appear on Traveloka, in the meantime, I don't expect anything just a place for me to sleep at night. But I totally surprised as the SOI can bring more than the price they offer me. The host are super friendly, kind and one more thing, they speak English very well that I can not expect more than a Japanese Guesthouse can do. The owners were very nice to me by offering me a welcome breakfast despite I just arrived to their house as a small gift, it was just 2 pieces of bread and jam, a cup of coffee but I made me touched by their kindness. The host old man can suggest you where to go as well. The facility was extremely perfect with the 2-level bed with a very clean drapes, soft mattress and pillows, warm blanket helps the tropica asian boiz like me to overcome the 10 degree Celcius weather at night, I slept very tight. They also gave you a locker to store the luggage, a key to entre the room, the passcode if you want to have a late night at Kyoto. They have hot water for you to take a shower as well, very useful and relaxed if you spent a whole walking day around Kyoto. On the departure, it was a little bit regret when I cannot take any photos of them, I though I would take in the next trip to Kyoto some days in the future. For sure, I will continue with SOI 😊 Highly recommend If you have a trip to Kyoto.
