The money spent for online hotel booking is not worth it. It is an unpleasant stay, and the receptionist was unfriendly. Bathrooms were smelling like drainage, walls were broken, bathroom latches were broken. You have to ask for everything (bedsheet, soap, etc) otherwise they don't provide it proactively. I found out that the online price is double when compared to walk in booking price.

This is a typically Indian hotel, so lower your expectations if your a westener. There was a muted welcome when we first arrived but when they got used to us the staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was OK and had a terrific balcony with a beautiful view over rice paddies and farmland, we saw many types of birds, and a large herd of ducks were brought to rice paddies each day. The hotel is on the outskirts of town and was relatively quiet and it was an easy 15 minute walk into town. We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel and in Gingee. Gingee is hidden gem and deserves more than the one day most people give it.

No room service. Toothbrush and soap provided after we asked. Room cleaning done after we checked in and while we gone out. Terrible
