Wonderful hotel in the heart of Mijas Pueblo. The hotel owner is such a caring, generous and friendly lady. The room we stayed in was surprisingly bigger than we expected and very well equipped. Breakfast is served in a courtyard and has tranquil feel about it, the food was also very good. A lovely hotel to stay in when visiting Mijas Pueblo

Carmen was an excellent hostess and so friendly. Rooms are clean, modern andhave everything we needed. The breakfast is outstanding with a great choice. I would recommend Opuntia to anyone who wants to stay in Mijas. Location is perfect.

Lovely stay - nothing was too much trouble Beautiful rooms and fabulous location. The roof terrace is spectacular.

Our room was out of service however the manager Jluis accommodated us at another property 10 minutes walk away. La Famalia Mijas was wonderful and definitely an upgrade from Opuntia. The only glich was breakfast on day two was unavailable as we had no access to the hotel. I can’t honestly rate the hotel as we never saw the rooms ,etc. however Jluis contacted us prior to arrival and handled accommodations marvously.

The location is amazing: within 50m you have a small grocery store, apothecary, and multiple restaurants/cafes/shops. The room was beautiful and staff exceptionally warm and friendly. We usually like to go out for breakfast but after the first breakfast at the hotel, we never looked elsewhere - perfect. If returning to Mijas, we would stay here again. The only downside is the German/Southern European old style ventilation where rooms are built like bottles with no replacement air ducts and air conditioning only circulates the air. This means ventilation must be done by opening windows which is difficult for Scandinavians to adjust to.

Parking was our only issue here, but ultimately we found that public parking was acceptable, and with a short Uber you are in paradise at the door. Visit the Bull fighting ring! An unforgettable experience and destination that my lovely bride and I may return to in the future!!!!

Very attentive and polite staff throughout. Welcome drinks on arrival. The room was fantastic,clean and very modern. Nights stay was comfortable with a lovely bed. Breakfast was fantastic. Could not fault a thing and we will be definitely staying again at some point.

This hotel is just perfect. From the moment we arrived we were greeted like family and offered a welcome drink in the beautiful courtyard. The rooms are spacious, modern and spotlessly clean. The beds are some of the best I’ve slept on and the complimentary water and fruit were just amazing. Everywhere you look, there are little touches to make you feel welcome and the stay a little more special. The staff are the friendliest and most professional I’ve come across so will most definitely be back!

This was an amazing boutique hotel. The location was perfect! They provided fresh fruits regularly. The hotel was very clean. I could not have asked for a better experience.
