Affordable room and nice stuff

Reasonably clean but run down and not well maintained. Taps in bathroom didn’t work . It appeared that water damaged had not been dealt with.

The location is fantastic, this is a very cute motel but the management needs to do some repairs. Mold in the bathroom, bed & pillows are extremely old and worn out. My low review is because I got bed bug bites all over my arms, legs and back & chest. This is not a surprise because of the condition of the mattress as mentioned above. It could be a lovely place, management was so nice and accommodating. Please invest in your property, new beds and clean up the mold in the washrooms and your motel with be a favourite.

We can get much better place in 126$ ive booked it with expedia thye shower 70$ there and after giving them by debit card details they guys charged me with 126$ Never book from expedia alots of hidden fees

The bathroom was recently renovated. Staff allowed us no charge late check out to let my wife 1 hour to recover from a migraine.

First off it was so nice that the young lady helped me at check in when it was after 11 am thank you so much. The room is very good value and was close to the ferry for the next morning. The room was clean but a couple of things …for instance the shower worked but the bath tub spout for the water was previously broken at it was on at a weird angle. You can see that cost containment for the room is front and centre and that is why the room is less expensive. There were kids above me and they were running around early in the morning so that was noticeable but its clean, very cost effective, close to the ferry, and the young lady at check in was so kind to help me with late arrival…thanks so much.

The front desk staff person was very friendly and the location was nice, but these were the only good things about this property. The room was very run down and dirty - the kind of dirt when a place has not been cleaned well for a long time. We we’re only staying one night and was glad for it.

Old but mostly clean and very affordable

Upon arriving the room smelled of sewage. The shower did not drain. I saw a couple of bugs in the kitchenette area.

My second time staying here. Lovely family that runs it, clean rooms and very helpful.

A rundown property. Moldy bathrooms, broken wardrobe. Paid $153 through expedia. This was not even worth $60. The room smelled of mold and the beds were terrible

It’s a quiet area, and convenient. But desperately needs to be renovated!

Our first time. Stayed for one night to catch an early ferry. Reception was easy and the lady there was very pleasant and helpful. The property is dated and needs some basic repairs and upgrades. The room was very dated with some upgrades and mismatched, old furniture but the bed was comfortable, and the linens, floors, kitchen and bathroom were clean. The motel does not have concrete separating the rooms so we could hear the people upstairs walking around. The parking spot for our room was a bit tight for our mid-sized car, directly behind the reception area, but the larger part of the lot had lots of room and a truck would be fine to maneuver around. The motel is about a block from the beach/park access, so we enjoyed a short evening stroll. The area felt safe to walk and it was quiet once the traffic died down. We really appreciated the welcome email from the Motel outlining the amenities and attractions in the area. Yes, we would stay here again mostly because of the convenient location, the price and the lovely staff.

I was commenting elsewhere how expensive it is to stay in Vancouver, particularly in the summertime. The Beach Grove is the exception, still providing good value. It's an old school motel, in a nice location, with good service. It's a little rough around the edges, but I can live with that.

Updates need to be done. Kitchen cabinets were falling apart, electrical outlets missing cover plates, light fixtures broken, floor under toilet sloped to side so much that seat would slide off the side of the bowl. This dump needs to be gutted and rebuilt.
