Very nice hotel. The property is finely restored and rooms are peaceful and comfortable. Although small, we enjoyed the pool. Staff at the reception were nice and attentive.
Everything good except for the breakfast. Some of the staff were nice, others looked annoyed because us coming after10 - despite the fact of breakfast been served until 11.00 Few options. Sad coffe machine. We didn’t know it was possible to order coffee from a barista until our last day. Tiny cups for tea drinkers. Instead of serving bubbel wine on the morning, it would look better to offer proper tea (not tea bags) and coffee.
The only thing we got as gluten intolerants was a packed gluten free bread that was impossible to chew. I understand there are few options in Portugal. But a five star hotel cannot offer such low quality food.
