The quality of the food at dinner was rather mediocre. The ship itself is great, the trips offered during the trip are not worth the experience - you will be joined by thousands of other tourists from other boats and it feels like a tourist rip-off.

We enjoyed our stay at the Grand Pioneers Cruise . The beautiful view of Ha Long Bay is very relaxing and enjoyable.

A very pleasant experience for my daughters and me. No complaints whatsoever. I highly recommend.

Good experience, services and food.

The boat is new and looks amazing. However, it is far from a 5-star experience. Hygiene: the slippers in the room were USED (they were really dirty), the chairs at the restaurant are full of stains and hair (it is really disgusting), the linen was also stained, the shower floods by design so it is awful to take a shower with drain water touching your feet Comfort: the pillows are full of lumps, they only give you one 300ml of free water per day and charge for plain drinking water during day activities, there is no turndown service, there is no water in the gym Check in experience: they leave people waiting for 1.5 hours in a room that smells like toilet, so you have to choose between a sewer smell or being outside at 35 degrees waiting 1.5 hours. Personal experience with housekeeping: I asked them to remove the flooding water from my shower on the first day. 2 guys came and stepped on the towels with their shoes, leaving the towels black and dirty. They didn’t even pick up the towels or offer to change them. They just left them there. Also on the second day they took us to a boat trip where we had lunch. The silverware of the day boat was so dirty. They gave me 3 spoons, all had visible stains until I gave up

From check-in to check-out, we felt truly special. The boat is relatively new, so everything on board looks spectacular. Our room had a balcony, offering a dreamlike view of Halong Bay. The activities were enjoyable, but it was the staff who really made the experience exceptional. “Cat,” the nickname of the staff member who attended to us at the restaurant, stood out in particular. The amenities on the boat were incredible from the pool to the playrooms and gym, everything exceeded expectations.

Very luxury feel on the boat. Staff very friendly and attentive. Great food options and they catered very well for dietary requirements. Only negative was that the evening canapés/drinks on the top deck felt a little tacky and slightly like a school disco at times, and the canapés were not great (half a grape on a slice of stale baguette).

An incredible experience! A true luxury cruise. I did the two-day, one-night cruise, and it was absolutely worth it. The activities were very well organized and enjoyable, and the service throughout was exceptional. I especially want to highlight the outstanding service from Anita, who took care of us during dinner, breakfast, and lunch — always with a warm smile and great attention to detail. Highly recommended!

First time cruising in HLB and will not be a last time. We are very impressed with how Grand Pioneers organized the whole trip of 2 days and 1 night at their property. Everything was so perfect and we were regret that we should booked at least 2 nights. The staffs and whole crews were so professional, kind and super nice. We will come back soon.

BEST BOAT IN THE BAY🚢⚓️ Clean , big rooms , great food staff. Definitely recommend spending a little bit more to get on this boat ~ we were traveling from the USA and we thought the weather was supposed to be nice and it rain for both days that we were in Ha Long Bay, which kind of sucked, but you can’t control the weather. Definitely would’ve used the pool outdoor bar more if the weather would have cooperated IT WAS A BEAUTIFUL SPACE. loved the gym food was delicious. Sammy Lilly & all the staff. THANKS.

A wonderful cruise that delivered on comfort quality and service. Staff were very professional and attentive and did everything possible to make our stay enjoyable. There were many boats in Halong but this was far superior in every way, I thoroughly recommend it to anyone who is considering a cruise in Halong.

Great service, nice big ship

Just wrapping up our two day/one night cruise on Grand Pioneer. What a great experience. The bay is absolutely stunning. The upgraded room was very nice. We had our own large balcony off the stern of the boat. Our “butler” Nyi was excellent; kind, personable and always helpful. He never missed a beat. The cave tours were nice and there were plenty of options of activities on board. Not sure of two nights would have been worth it but certainly happy we chose Grand Pioneer for our trip
