Overall Pleasant Stay with Excellent Atmosphere and Strong Customer Service
We stayed at Rixos Tersana Istanbul for seven nights in a Premium Room with a partial river view. Overall, it was a pleasant and positive experience.
The room was very spacious, comfortable, and generally clean. However, housekeeping could improve, especially when it comes to deeper cleaning of the toilets. Given the high room rate, we expected a slightly more luxurious in-room experience. For example, complimentary parking, a fruit basket, sweets, nuts, or evening turndown service would have made the stay feel more aligned with the price point. These are small touches we have experienced in other luxury hotels and would have appreciated here.
Breakfast was one of the highlights of the stay. The selection was excellent, the displays were beautiful, and the atmosphere overlooking the water was wonderful. A special thank you to Younes, who served us during breakfast one day. He was extremely hospitable, friendly, smiling, and spoke English very well, which made the experience even better.
We did face a communication issue on the fifth day after extending our stay regarding whether breakfast was included. One of the servers handled the situation poorly and came across as aggressive.
