This was a interesting place to stay

binnenplaats erg gezellig. ontvangen door zeer vriendelijke gastvrouw. locatie echt oude pub, maar o zo gezellig. kamer was zeer netjes en sfeervol, met uitzicht op het terras. geen nachtlawaai, iedereen is om 23u weg. Al het nodige in de kamer aanwezig. minpuntje, geen ontbijt maar wel veel mogelijkheden in de buurt. parkeren kon op het achterterrein.

The rooms at this pub are beautiful (I booked two rooms), very clean and the staff were really helpful. Really good pub, five minute walk into the centre of Banbury. I would definitely recommend it.

Ideal location for what I needed. Really helpful and friendly staff. Nice clean room. Onsite carpark. Some great beers on the bar.

I stayed in a room above an old pub and wasn’t expecting much, but there were several issues. The room was quite dusty with a lot of cobwebs, the floor uneven, and the radiator couldn’t be turned off, which made it far too hot. I opened the window to cool it down, but it was directly above the courtyard where patrons were smoking and playing a noisy game throwing wooden sticks, so I had to close it again. The staff were friendly, though communication was minimal. I was simply shown to my room and told to call the number on the key if I needed anything. On the plus side, the room was large, the bed comfortable, and the WiFi surprisingly fast at around 60–70 Mbps. The smart TV was a good size and worked perfectly for watching streaming services. Overall, nice staff and good amenities, but the heat, dust, and noise made the stay less comfortable than expected.

Lovely welcome to a room refurbished a few years ago. Bed wasnt the most comfortable, but the main issue wsss cleanliness. Pics attached of dirt around the bath. There were cobwebs everywhere, the main light heavily caked in dust. Thee whole thing could do with a deep clean.

Everything was great except the temperature and light levels in the room. It was far too hot and pretty dark

Great place but no kitchen, so no breakfast or dinner. Easy walking to other locations though. Friendly people and a good traditional pub

Fantastic room, really large and parking on site. Nice little seated area which was secluded and part of the bar. Just wished they had served food, but town is only a 5 minute walk

Beautifully well kept and clean room in a lovely pub, with very friendly staff.

Pretty average pub. No breakfast option was disappointing as “we don’t have a kitchen” Room had contact lenses from previous year on the bedside cabinet .. place could have done with a clean tbh. Water only just hot enough for a warm shower.

Super place, really clean and tidy. Friendly atmosphere and the pub was magic. Stayed for a couple of nights and had access cards to get in and out. No food at the pub but beer was cracking!!

Great pub and room. Stopped doing food which is a shame.

Lovely renovated prooerty

Very friendly staff made us welcome. We were fortunate that live entertainment was on that evening that added to the atmosphere. A simple breakfast is provided in the room. We used the local eateries for our evening meal, most within walking distance. Altogether a lovely stay. Word of warning the pubs ceilings are low, rooms are fine, again adds to the atmosphere but hurts when you forget.
