If you want to experience a bit of the history of Lima, there is no better place to stay. The hotel is beautiful and you feel like you’re stepping back in time being there. I imagined all the people who stayed there over the past 100 yrs. Since it is historic, be prepared for some cracks and creaks and absence of amenities like a hair dryer. But the kind staff, generous breakfast, free Pisco Sour drink ticket, and privilege of sharing in the Gran Bolivar’s illustrious history, more than makes up for anything it lacks!

Iconic hotel with great location in the historical centre. Public areas with luxury vibes, but rooms are very basic. Friendly staff at reception. Breakfast service was slow and sbould be improved. For example coffee wss served cold. My major complaint was wifi which was on/off both in public areas but mainly in the rooms. Great bar with pisco sauer drinks. Thanks!

The hotel is outdated and not functional for “ Modern “ needs . That it was the best hotel In Lima 100 years ago. One night stay is more than enough. However, the restaurant and bar were great !!! Also, in the heart of historic district.

The wifi was not good, it constantly went in and out and went out for a solid 2 hours in the evening. The location is excellent, near the plaza and main historic center. The staff spoke little English but were helpful and I was able to communicate just fine. I loved the free pisco sour, and the cocktail lounge was nice. The room was fine, the pillows were terrible but the bedding was nice. Overall an ok stay, the terrible wifi was a real bummer.

Shocking - do not stay here . Running a club inside the property where music continues all night . Stopped at 7am

El hotel es precioso pero las habitaciones necesitan ser reformadas y actualizadas, son amplias pero antiguas y el cuarto de baño está en un nivel bastante más elevado que el resto de la habitación lo que dificulta su acceso. Las habitaciones deben ser renovadas y especialmente el cuarto de baño aún más La entrada del hotel no tiene rampa ni ninguna acceso para equipaje o personas mayores

Amazing history and beautiful old building.

The room was clean but very dated. The bathroom needed a lot of cosmetic repairs

Ames et surtout corps sensibles s’abstenir,pas d’ai conditionné,un filet d’eau chaude,pas de wifi dans la chambre…Bien sur c’est un hotel historique.Y passer une nuit peur etre sympa!

Hotel histórico.

The hotel needs a solid refresh an investment if is is to remain a place where tourists and professionals will choose to stay while in Lima. Not good value for the money. The location is great of course, in the middle of historic Lima, besides that, the wi-fi is not stable/reliable, neither is the hot water in the morning. I would not stay again if I am to come back to Lima.

A living piece of history located in the central district. So cool to stay in this grand old hotel and realize all who have stayed there from Hemingway to The Rolling Stones. Family of 4 with 11 and 17 year olds from Florida. The staff is friendly and accommodating.

Terrible hotel. What once was a beautiful and elegant property is now a decadent property. No A/C, no wifi in bedrooms (unless you, by miracle, get some signal while sticking yourself to the wall).

A charmingly un-modernized hotel, with clean amenities, but the air conditioning was very limited and there were insufficient power outlets near the beds. A good choice for central Lima.

Hotel is super old without air conditioner . All also is great . So if you are ok with old facility and wanna enjoy a hotel with “history “ this place is a good place . If you wanna a good sleep in goo temperature . Please chose another hotel . Btw the breakfast is very good

El hotel es Antiguo pero necesita mantenimiento. No hay manera de comunicarse a recepción desde la habitación. La señal wi fi en la habitaciones no es buena. Tuve que cambiarme de habitación para tener mejor wi fi pero aun así no hubo buena. En temporada de calor, es terrible porque solo te dan ventiladores y no cuentan con aire acondicionado. El personal es muy amable y servicial, eso compensa lo demás
